Dorian looks incredible. He was just on another planet compared to everyone else. Kev looked great though, he was Dorians toughest competition by far. Poor little Shawn. Out muscled, out gunned, out classed. [still looked better than the abominations that win shows today though]

Shawn said in the magazines that after Dorian torn his biceps his career was over and he had a few good years left in him to guest pose , all durring the 1995 Olympia Shawn was constantly booed , again Dorian silenced everyone with his physique ! Dorian crushed everyone and Shawn dropped a place lol

Actually ND dorian did develop a bad habit around 1994 on the rear double biceps pose of dipping his head down too much and also over internally rotating his humerus bones when he hit the shot.
the result was that the top of his biceps were facing the rear of the stage about about a 60 degree angle instead of facing the ceiling the way shawn's were.
the problem didn't really exist in 1991-1993. might have had something to do with rotator cuff pain IMO...

Thanks for that. I had been waiting for this for a while now. Since the Coleman fans base their entire evaluation of pics and videos and not on evaluating physiques logically, I think this video seals the deal once and for all. I mean, what can they present to counter this? I will match this version of Dorian against any version of Coleman. Any. It can be 1999, 2003 or any other. Dorian makes the 1999 Ronnie look like an uncerdevelpped amateur and his still has less symmetrical flaws. Conversely, he makes the 2003 Coleman look like a fat bitch, with soft muscles and a huge gut. If the judges gave the nod to the 2003 Coleman over this due to the size advantage, I would never follow bodybuilding again. I'll take 260 lbs with a flat stomach, etched serratus and the hardest, driest muscles ever seen onstage over 290 lbs of soft muscles, no abdominal separations, no separations overrall when standing relaxed, the largest, most unmanly glutes ever seen onstage and the wors distended gut ever that was Ronnie Coleman in 2003. 287 lbs of shit. Dorian had visible abs at 305 lbs off-season. If he dieted down to 287 lbs, he would look harder and more separated than that travesty that was Ronnie in 2003. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeew! :-X

Now, I'm waiting foe some moron to say that the 1995 Dorian wouldn't even win the NPC Nationals. ::) There was actually a moron here, a few months ago, who said that the 1992 Dorian wouldn't even make the top five at the NPC Nationals nowadays. Now, the 1992 Dorian would win the NPC Nationals nowadays easily, but I do agree that he would only be top fivw at the Olympia. Now, the 1995 Dorian would easily win the Olympia nowadays: one of the top three physiques of all times!

Did you watch the video? Probably not. In any case, Coleman showed up worse than any version of Yates and it was an embarrasment that he won; the fans acknowledged this by booing him off the stage. Ronnie was great in 98 and 99. However, for you to claim Dorian was overrated, especially at his best, truly shows your ignorance, and specifically your bias. What the outside reader cannot understand about your argument is the overwhelming evidence that Yates truly was that dominant in 93 and 95. Most notably the evidence from the people at the show. Delta from GetBig was at the 91 and specifically, 95 O and he said it was over the moment Dorian walked out. Why would he lie?

The comparisons of the compulsory poses cannot be overemphasized
as these comparisons will help the judge to decide
which competitor has the superior physique from the standpoint of
muscular bulk, balanced development, muscular density and
definition.
Back Double Biceps (see Figure 4)
Standing with his back to the judges, the competitor will
bend the arms and wrists as in the Front Double Biceps
pose, and will place one foot back, resting on the toes.
He will then contract the arm muscles as well as the
muscles of the shoulders, upper and lower back, thigh
and calf muscles.
The judge will first survey the arm muscles and then do
the head-to-foot survey, during which there are more
muscle groups to look at than in all of the other poses.
This includes the neck, deltoids, biceps, triceps, forearm,
trapezius, teres, infraspinatus, erector spinae, external
obliques, latissimus dorsi, gluteus, thigh biceps, and
calves. This pose, probably more than the others, will
help the judge to determine the quality of the
competitor’s muscle density, definition, and overall
balance.
Lets see where Yates has the edge in this shot compared to Ronnie according to the official IFBB judging criteria , balanced development , density and conditioning , and calves which the judges are looking for and they'd have to keep looking to see Ronnie's because he hasn't any , they only edge Ronnie has on Dorian in this pose is much better biceps , Dorian crushes him in almost every other aspect of the pose .
