A South Carolina mother has had her 12-year-old son arrested for opening his Christmas presents early.
The boy was taken into custody after his mother discovered he had entered his great-grandmother's house and taken presents from their hiding place.
The boy was handcuffed and taken to a local police station on petty larceny charges.
The boy's mother, Brandi Ervin, told the Associated Press news agency she had acted to teach her son a lesson.
"He's been going through life doing things... and getting away with it," she said.
He had repeatedly taken the present, a Nintendo video game console, from its hiding place in his great-grandmother's house.
The boy, who has been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is already facing an expulsion hearing at his school for attempting to hit a police officer assigned to the school last month.
The boy's case will be presented to York County's Department of Juvenile Justice, which will decide what action to take.
Ms Ervin told the Associated Press she hoped the authorities could scare her son into behaving himself.
"It's not even about the Christmas present," she said.
"I'd rather call (the police) myself than someone else call for him doing something worse."

This reminds me of this kid who does personal training sessions with my training partner. He's 16 and he told me his mom was going to kick him out of the house because she suspected he was giving stuff(like makeup and shit) to his older sister who was kicked out the week before. He was hiding out at out gym for 5 hours(on a school nite) cause he said he couldnt go home.
Being the uber stud I am I explained to him his mom is crazy and never to getinto an arugment with her because thats what she wants, that she has trust issues with men, and to tell her to call the police and let them make him leave.
Needless to say he wasnt kicked out. But damn what a dumb c unt >:(

ive searched for christmas presents and found some, then got caught for it..
and guess what i got that christmas!
3 presents less!

My mom liked wooden spoons and dad like the belts, leather or cross woven....
My father had an unbelievable ability to instantly convert his 32 inch belt into a 64 inch belt when I was running from him. :o When I heard the belt clearing the loops I took off....I always ended up with welted up forearms trying to shield my ass while on the run. ... ;D

Just ask the question "hey, what's that on your shirt?" and when they look down, bust their lip. You need to do this every now and then to keep them guessing. Don't ever let them off the hook. Just because they're not doing anything wrong doesn't mean that they didn't do something wrong earlier that you weren't aware of.
