Porsche leaked photos of the new Panamera, or the long awaited "4 door Porsche sedan". It will have a 350 HP direct injection V8, with turbos will go to about 500 HP. prices will be 100k-150k
-
The new 911 twin turbo is fantastic. While there cars have become "blah" these days. There is no denying porsche makes a steller car. Just getting played out :-[
-
The have been real pictures of the Panarama (found through Google) for months.

Some might be fake Photoshops, like this one. Looks like an altered 911.

Something is wrong with this pic. Does it have suicide doors? It doesn't look like the other pictures.

Porsche going after that high end sedan market. I love the Ferrari engined Maserati Quattroporte which this car will compete with and destroy in sales if not in performance. Although I'm sure it will in that arena as well.

That car (Maserati) reminds me a little of the new Jag XK, minus the extra doors, though.

I really like the convertible version, but $70k to $80k for a car that would be worth less than half of this price in 4 years is a no-no. I can wait 4 years to buy this car. It would definately be worth $30k to $35k to me in another 4 years.

The interior is pure tits:

The only problem I have with the Maserati is the air intakes on the sides. It makes it look like a Buick imo. Give me a 612 scaglietti please! 600 horses in a lap of luxery!

I checked other pics of the 612 scaglietti and the sides (doors) remind me of the '55 Corvette.

I love that car. Some would say it is plain. I think it is a work of art. Do you like it?

The side view I was thinking, "Man, that's a beautiful car". And it still is, however, I saw some other pics and it made my nose wrinkle. I do like it, though. I'd definately pic the Jag over the Ferrari if I had the option (in 4 years I will have that option) as I know price-wise and insurance-wise, I'll be able to afford it.
-
Wow, lucky guy. Look into the Aston Martin line if you like the jag. Beautiful cars.

I know. The A.M. is bad-ass and I'll never be able to get one of those. The Jag is really biting their style, too, however, they're more affordable. Kinda like how Kia and Hyundai is biting on Lexus and other cars.
I probably won't change my mind in 4 years as the last XK model lasted 10 years without significant changes and I've always like the look of the XK.

I like porshes, but I think that looks like shit...

Not a big fan of the 612, it's certainly an amazing car but when I see it it just doesn't do anything for me. Also, it's only two doors, it's a luxurious GT but without the benefit of two more doors like the Quattroporte. I love coupes but there is just something beautiful about a sedan that is beautiful and a great performer.
The most beautiful 2 door front engine car I've ever seen is the Aston Martin Vanquish. It's simply stunning. I was floored at how beautiful it was. You have to see it in person to get the full power of it's appeal.
Oh, and that Jaguar XK has more than a little Aston Martin Vantage in it, or should I say the Vantage has more than a little XK in it.
Ford's going to sell Aston Martin, the direction Aston takes in the future should be interesting to see.
-
Yes, AS makes some stunning models. I love the db9 :o

porsche has had the same problem from day 1,that problem is no matter how much money you have you cannot buy class
look at ferrari, they have class and thats why they are and always will be the king of the euros
for body88 dont get me started, you know how involved i get in automotive threads ;D
plus i already stated on another thread that if i die you get my 540hp hayabusa
bench
-
That Porsche loks like a nice car (especially the interior) but I still prefer the Aston Martin anyday. All I need is a nice lottery win......
-
The Ason Martin Rapide, is the four door car that Aston "might" build it looks sexier than the pics that I posted above, which are not photoshops. I will post pics of the Rapide

Ferrari's are the Kings of Luxury Exotics, no one comes close...

Ferrari's are the Kings of Luxury Exotics, no one comes close...
Bentley is king when it comes to luxury exotics imo. Ferrari would be number 2 on my list. All Bentley's coupes and sedans have huge horspower/performance to go along with the extreme quality and craftsmanship. All the B's sport v12's or twin turbo v8's pushing 600 ponies. The gt and the gtc make the 612 (which I adore) look outdated. The 599 Ferrari is gorgeous so that can compete with the the gt/spur. But, honestly the 599's styling is not in the same league as that new gtc roadster. The car is simply breathtaking. The Bentleys are more luxurious and perform on about the same level as the Ferraris! I would still take the 599 over a Bentley gt. But, def not the gtc. Sexy ride!

The Ferrari has something very important that the bently doesn't........... Awesome handling.
-
The new gt and the gtc can handle ??? The Bentley is on par with a Ferrari in most perfomance stats. The Bentley may not be quite as good on the track. But as a whole package, the Bentley is better imo.
I love the 599. Either car is fantastic. The new 430 is also incredable.

The new twin turbo 911 is the best everyday supercar ever created. All the modern comfort/convenienceses. With wicked performance and looks. You can drive it for long distances and use it all the time. Unlike most exotics which cannot be used like a day to day driver.
Porsche has become "blah" because they have gotten to popular. You see about 6 911's per day. Christ, I see them at whole foods in affluent areas like they are bmw's now.
In the world of supercars worldwide mainstream success is a double edged sword. Porsche is becoming more and more like Mercedes.
-
i really like the Vanquish

Looks like ass...

The new Ferrari (forget which one I think the Marenello) did a long ass endurance trip to show how reliable and rough it could be.

Big problem with today's Bentley's is that they have VW running gear (AWD). a W-12 engine and a Audi interior. A similarly priced Ferrari will not depreciate in value as much as the Bentley.
-
True dat! I was speaking from the point of money being no object. I would take a 599 any day of the week!
-
Here's a video of some kid that got a ride in a Diablo SE 30. The SE 30's were badass, they were lighter and more powerful than other Diablo's. The dude that owns the car is a bit of a goof and he modded the engine cover badly but it's still a badass car.

With cars like though the owner generally doesn't care about depriciation value. They buy cause it is the best or what they want, no care about what they can sell it for when they are getting rid of it.

There was a Bentley Continental at the Lexus dealership, I was getting my car serviced. I was not impressed, the Service consultant said that he was put off bythe keychain--the same switchblade key chain that VW uses >:( >:( . I was more impressed by the Mercedes SL55 and the '06 M5 they had near the Bentley.
But if money were no object, I would get one just to say I have it.

I kinda agree with you :-\

Aston Martin Rapide (4 door coupe) that will compete with the Porsche Panamera

More Rapide

The Azure is the Bentley to get. Since the early 60's till the year they came out with the Lexus my uncle has only owned Lincolns and Rolls's. He liked the Lexus so much he bought one for himself and one for each of his 10 assistants. When I came to LA fro thnaksgiving one year my girlfriend came and saw hiscar loved it. He said go down to Torrance Lexus and tell them Bernie Pasch is your uncle and they will give you a great deal. We went down and it was awesome and shipped one back home. She already had the lesser class one but bought the newst one and traded in her other one when she got back. I was just really surprised that he liked that car so much. He kept his other cars but drove the Lexus everyday.

The Mansory vantage is one of the baddest cars I have ever seen. This is the ultimate beautiful car. Astons are gorgeous in general, but this car is on another level. I love this car. The black wheels is the only way to roll.

Well there you go. I knew Ford own Jaguar or has stake in Jaguar (and some Ford parts are in the lower end Jags), but I didn't know Ford had own Aston Martin. No wonder the Ford GT has a "similar" look to the Vantage.

Please tell me how a car designed to more or less replicate the famous 1960's racer the Ford GT-40 has anything to do with looking like a modern day Vantage ???
-

Ford has owned Aston since the late 80's and then Jag in 89. The Aston Martin DB7 had Ford parts in the cabin. And the last gen XK8 and DB7 shared the same chassis, which was the previous gens Jag coupe (the one with the flying buttresses) can't think of the name
The Mansary Vantage is nice, but I believe there are no HP mods,I like the kit a lot. I would keep the wheels and keep the the standard V8 Vantage. Many times the car looks sexier without the kit, and as time wears on, the kit starts to look dated. Just look at all the ricers with all those stickers and spoilers. :-X

The gt is designed after famous 60's Ferrari killer. I do not really think the vantage looks like the the gt. But, I am biased since the gt is my favorite car :D

Close to 5000 lbs. The topic was originally the best luxury exotic. I know the 599/612 are the better performers on the track! But zero to 60 stats and top speed of both cars are comparable. For looks, luxury, performance and quality nothing beats the gt's imo. If you are talking about the best luxury exotics of course. The 612 and 599 are better on the track without a doubt.

They had a Dinan M5 (2003) at the dealership next to a standard 2006 M5. Man, I was drooling all over the cars. When the M5 comes out in a manual, I trying to convince my dad to get the car, because he needs a new vehicle, and it will be the last one he owns. Better to end it with a bang, and a V10!!!
-
Imagine if you could take the "family" car down to the store? The 500 horse, v10, peel your eyes out of your socket "family car"!
The new m5 is fast as all hell. From the factory it is a beast. You toss some highflow throttles on it. Then get a free flowing exhaust. You have a luxury car that is basically a full blown supercar.

Are you crazy?

Yes M5 is one of my favorite cars out there, It looks beautiful but not overly aggressive yet packs more horse power and technologly then most high end sports cars. Imagine pulling up to some punk in a "tuner" car at the light and then blowing him away with your wife and kids riding along. 8)
-
Haha, I can see it now. Some kid in a hopped up, turbo 350z, reving his engine. You sitting next to himin a bone stock m5 with the wifey and a trunk full of grocery's. The look on the kids face when you rev the engine is pricless! The kid hears 500, v10 ponies ready to end his life, lol. Light turns green, and you destroy his 350 and teach him a good lesson. Meanwhile, your wife is yelling "SLOWN DOWN, YOUR GOING TO KILLL ME"!!!!!

What is funny is that when I saw the M5. I thought, "That is the 'family' car. A Mercedes E55 would be "wifey's" car.
