Title: Nobody gets any blame in foley case
Post by: 240 is Back on December 08, 2006, 12:02:45 PM
Ethics committee said some people were negligent but nobody did anything wrong, when Foley was allowed to continue working after it became known he had inappropriate relations with male subordinates.

I wonder what the outcome would have been in january with a Dem-ruled committee?

not sure... Maybe that's why they wanted it to be quicker...  I do think that these guys just have it peachy being their own oversight on ethics...  So many of them have some dirt they don't want delt with so everybody overlooks shit that should be taken serious.  fuckers...

Isn't the Ethics Committee bipartisan?

yea, but I've listened to debates that talked about agreements from both parties that this committee would for the most part "not function"... then you got stuff like this going on http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A25358-2005Mar10.html

I don't agree with that rule (at least one Republican--presumably now Democrat--vote needed to start an investigation), but I understand the rationale.
