He was the father in Everybody Loves Raymond. Probably the only funny thing about the show.

He was also in Taxi Driver and a load of other films. I remember him being particularly good as the father of a spaz (Who was played by the bald chap out of Just Shoot Me.) in NYPD Blue

The only guy who played Frankensteins monster who didn't need to wear any make up. Cool guy. God bless him.
