I saw Tony Freeman doin them in the NO Shotgun CD I got. It looked like this exercise pumped up his upper pecs pretty good. I tried 'em once, and felt a different feeling in my upper pecs rather than incline presses. Not a better feeling, just different. Has anyone tried these? Or incorporate them in their workouts? And are they effective for filling in the upper pecs? Or are they a waste of energy?
-
Never heard of em. Incline dumbbell flys are great, as good but different from incline presses.
-
I've never heard of them either. i think its a damerous movement. you can easily lose control of the DBs. i always think about that when i see someone doing seated flyes like the pec deck flyes.. it would be real light weigt.
-
i dont do any type of flyes. think it's a waste
-
your not alone there..

That must be why Arnold loved em. ::)

if you look at the pros with the best chest i.e. ronnie, jay, johnnie jackson and etc. they all do just pressing movements. i think its what your goal is for your chest. if you wat a more fuller chest then doing alot of pressing is the answer. if want to keep on the chest mass and get some lines. then press and flyes is what going to do it. you could shock it by doing all flyes incline/flye/pec deck/cables

Basically the movement goes as follows; stand upright, knees slightly bent, with 2 dumbells at you sides, palms facing each other. When u bring the weight up, keep your palms facing each other, squeeze the top of the pecs, and bring the dumbells chin level, and together at the top. and yes, u can't go too heavy at all with these. Try it your next chest workout, and tell me what u think.

Whether true or not, that does not prove that pressing movements are better. If only compounds were effective, people would only use close-grip chins for biceps.

Unlesss something else was meant, this has a lot to do with trap and delt work and little to do with chest.

Those sound like a shoulder injury waiting to happen.

Has anyone NATURAL done it and gotten results? Juiced guys can do all kinds of crazy exercises and grow.

Juicing can help with workout endurance and post-workout recovery but the exercises still have to make sense.
-
It seems that the shoulders would come too much into play in this type of movement
-
Wait.....u gotta go wide out at the bottom of the motion like 45 degrees. At the top of the motion, hold the dumbells at a 45 degree angle palms almost facing up. Now tell me. Sorry I didn't describe it better before. I kinda described it like front delt raises. This new description should be the exact way to do this exercise. Try it like this, and tell me.

Actually I know exactly what your talking about, this is a flexion movement in the sagittal plane and the Pec Major plays a large role.. Basically with your palms supinated like your going to do a curl-keep your arms straight as possible maybe slight bend and go from the sides of the body and meeting at chin level, i prefer to do these on the cables rather than with dumbells
-
I don't believe it builds solid mass,
but it's a nice exercise to do once in a while.
I prefer cables cause you have a constant pressure, and I prefer doing them sitting on a bench.

did 'em yesterday. got PUMPED! i like it!
