I just wanted to give huge thanks to Blockhead for taking care of my home gym situation for me. I was fishing around doing my research and figured it couldn't hurt to get your guys opinions' on gyms. Block wrote me and told me he could help me find a kickass gym. I followed up and last night we wrapped the whole transaction. All in all I bought the Bodysolid series 7 Smith machine with 14 point powerrack, 210 lb. lat attachment w/ low row, pec dec attachment, bench, 300 lb. set w/ olympic bar, all the handle attachments for bis, tris, lats, rows, and a nice tri bar, plus 6 heavy duty rubber mats! Blockhead took care of the whole transaction and treated me like family. This guy is seriously the real deal in this sport. He knows his business and apparantly owns his own gym here in Chicago. Anyone who needs some education on there gyms at home should get ahold of the Block and do some talkin. Plus the guy is educated on the whole BB scene, is a fan and frequent show goer, and is a real iron brother himself. Anybody with any doubts should know this guy is built like a brick shithouse! On top of the business the dude is just straight up cool. Block, I'll be seein you around town. Thanks again brother.

The Block is one of the most passionate and knowledgable people concerning bodybuilding I've ever met. And he will help ANYONE who asks him. He's a good guy and one funny pimp to boot. Getbig is lucky to have him.

what did that set you back?
Just a couple g's. The point is ease though, my job has me running around all day and alot of the evening so I don't want to have to commute to and from the gym. Plus after all the research I did I realized alot of the other sets had maximum weight capacities of 800-900 lbs., where the BodySolid has a 2000 max capacity. The thing is f---in solid. The killer was the mats, they cost $75.00 a piece!!! For f---in rubber!! Oh well now I have it all.

Block is da mack. I am still waiting on my heavy duty bench though. Bring that shit to the Arnold so I can just use it as a carry-on. Shaving Cream. No. Mouthwash. No. Hair gel. No. Heavy Duty Bench Press? Right this way sir. Please use the overhead bin.

The best present a man could receive, besides a blowjob....
someday when I'm a high powered man of the world and I need to bribe someone in power, I always thought the best bribe method would be to have a hot latina brunette deliver a pair of tricked out custom glocks to the politician/dealer/etc, then hook him up with a BJ while he admires his new gift. Monster power trip.
THAT is how you win clients. Some vendors use sex to sell, some use gifts. When you employ both, you attain synergy (1+1=3), where the gift is greater than the sum of its parts. Competitors owned.

Let's see some pics of the home gym....

I work all week and I just got my floor mats last night. Point is Sunday is set up day. Right now it is in a million pieces in my basement. >:( Soon.

My Home-Basement-Gym....
-
Hardcore for sure.
-
That is one awesome home gym!! I will get to that point eventually, but I needed to start somewhere. I figured at home if when I go real heavy I've got the Smith and for all other stuff I have got the power rack. That wall of handles is crazy, you must have like 25 different attachments. If I can post pics next week I will.
-
Let me know if you need anything els, G...
You know I'm your huckleberry. Thanks for the SHOUT OUT!
-
You got it! Back to work. Talk later.

the Block offers help for all and still faces a trial for time out. Will this community assistance look good in court? Stay tuned.

Block in timeout would be a travesty. He is here to help us, getbig without Block is like 90210 without Dylan. It was ok, but kind of dull :-\

Looking forward to seeing the home gym Mick! It sounds like Block hooked you up pretty well. Bodysolid is our top recommendation as far as home equipment is concerned and sells fairly well. The expensive part is the delivery and installation. However, if you know how to assemble the equipment yourself, that cuts the cost a lot. Mick/Block, what equipment/models did you purchase?
-
He got a Series7 fully loaded package.
A few phone calls to my 'contacts' there made it happen for him. All he had to do was walk in and say he is a friend of 'TheBlock' and he was WELL taken care of.
Thats the kind of guy I am...knowwhatImsayin?
-
That is some pretty sweet equipment you hooked him up with. You can't argue with the warranty on Bodysolid. The only other non-commercial equipment that we have to my knowledge is Pro-Elite, which I also recommend if the budget is tight. FreeMotion is great if the customer insists on functional training, but that can get pricey as well.
Tip of the hat to ya Block! Way to hook a guy up, look forward to the pictures.
-
Thanks, kid. I try.
I think I may have saved him about $500 or so...just for telling the salesmen there that he comes in the name of 'TheBlockHead'.
-
Hey Block, just for future referrence...Do they have a showroom or anything of the sort at Bodysolid? I work for a reseller/distributor and I talk to our contact there once in a while for orders but didn't know if they had a showroom or if it was mostly a warehouse and office space.
-
They do. It's located in Forest Park, IL.
Mick33 lives in the area. I live on Chicagos southside. I'm in tite with some people there so I made sure Mick33 was taken care of...PROPER.
-
Bump for da Block.
