Yes we do notice . And it could verypossibly be from not be able to to lack of.
-
Never changes, someone makes an effort to improve themselfs and they can always rely on the fact the assholes here will bash them. What a bunch of slugs you all are.
To the dude with the calve pic, looking good, congrats on your efforts. Calves are hard to grow, genetics rule calves.

Great minds think alike, Alexxx 8). And don't worry about the haters - they're just jealous.

Well to be fair on you, you probably got your calf development from having to carry 900 lbs of lard with every step you make.
-

alexxx is a tall guys o of course his calves arent' gonna look huge, I'd like to see some "before" pics. If he's shown improvement then they look fine if they look just like they did a year ago then he needs to rethink what he's doing.

I don't think anybody wants to see my before pictures. I was a stick man. My calves where probably 12 inches and now they are 17 inches cold. I know I can make them grow really fast with the DC training and that helped a lot.

well I can already see the clowns coming into this thread and saying how dc sucks and it doesn't work and all that other garbage but, and I've said this all along, if I stop dc training tomorrow and move onto something totally different I'd stick with the calf training. I busted my balls for years trying to build any kind of calf and it didn't happen until I started using DC's calf training style. Is it the be all end all? I don't know but it worked wonders for my calfs, mine are over 17' right now and I'm not a tall guy so they're actually pretty good. I'm gonna try to break the 18" mark this coming year.
-
Well at least Bast won't be chiming in with a smartass remark.

how does your current calvestraining differ from what you used to do

I wouldn't bet on that.

well I tried alot of different things, lots of volume, lots of reps, low volume, heavy weight, supersets, different foot positions...lots of different things.
DC calf training basically has you focus on the stretched part of the movement, you start a rep at the top lower it slowly to a full stretch-should take about 5 seconds to perform the negative portion of the movement and hold it in the stretched position for 15 seconds then explode up and start again. The weight should be enough that you want to stop at 8 or 10 reps but shoot for 12-15. the stretching portion of the movement beats the hell out of your calfs IF you do it right and use enough weight.

so how much has your calves grown since you started with that

well they were almost non existant, now they're over 17. I never measured them cause I was embarrased and one day I was in the basement and my wife has one of thse seamstess measureing tapes so I decided to throw it on and see how I was doing and they were over 17, that was a few months ago. I'm not big into measureing bodyparts, I almost never do it.

I honestly believe in this type of training for calves, I never talk about DC training on here anymore cause of all the BS that comes with it but if you use a weight that makes you want to quit at about 8 reps and gut it out to 12 using the above mentioned technique AND remember that next time you have to add weight or reps and do it successfully you're calves really don't have any other choice but to grow.
I've seen where Trevor smiths' BFT training using the same technique but he recommends something like a full minute stretch or something like that...I'll have to reread it and confirm but that seems a little out there to me...but who knows it might work

We're only jerking your chain, Alexxx. Great job so far. Calves are a tough bodypart.

i had tiny calves. then i trained them hard for years, using all sorts of innovative techniques, tried out every suggestion, every exercise, brutal, brutally hard.
then recently i measured them again, and they were the same exact size.
i hate calves >:(
-
haha, that sucks dude, i look at a calf raise machine and mine get bigger...
-
Calves are always tough to build and need to train them every chance you get. Here's me freshly scooped in some random club with a 200 lbs club goer on my back.

Cool. I am sure I could make it to 250 pounds at 8% naturally. Those cycles must have been heavy on the organs?

yea but an actor could always come off the juice and get back to a smaller size. Levrone was juiced to the gills and now he's 185lbs.
