Before you rip me apart, think about it, how many have said there is never going to be a bodybuilder who will compete with 300+ pounds and be in contest condition.
We have passed that line a long time ago.
So with all the Freaks and since is still the time of beef... will there ever be a sliced and diced 300 pounds Mr Olympia contestant on stage at the Mr Olympia?

Hope not. They'll need to be seven foot to carry it off. :-\
-
well, we have already had the 400 pound part... 8)
now we just have to work on the sliced and diced...
-
no, regardless of what people believe Coleman was never even close to 300 onstage, in 03 i believe he was really 270, and in 04 when Flex claimed he was 294 he was really more like 277-279 which is still incredible.

But Gunter was... he came in at 304 as far as I can remember correctly... at least Gunterish sliced and diced

he's 6'2" though and i still have a hard time believing that EVEN HE was 300 plus, i'd say more like 290 which when you take into consideration the low bodyfat levels is unreal.
-
yes in 2027

look at it this way, 230 lbs. at very low bodyfat levels at these guys height of around 5'8" or 5'9" is massive beyond belief, now go to the grocery store and look at 50lbs. of steak and picture that packed on to your body without the fat, it's mind boggling, so i have a hard time with all of the 300 pound claims.

Aye, I think the only bodybuilder I honestly believe was a legit 300 was Kovacs...and that is neither Olympia worthy nor 'sliced and diced'.

I think he was, maybe not in his best condition (2004 Olympia????), but he was deffiantly very very close to 300 pounds.

the problem with not believing Ronnie was 300 is that if you say his 300 was really 270, that mean's Kris Dim was under the 100 pound mark...
8)

there is no way Ronnie was only 270ish during these grand prix shows in 2004.
no way:

look at that.
-
i said 277-280, which i stand by, Dim is around 190 there.
-
if Kris put his legs together and put his arms tight to his body, I bet he could live inside Ronnie's right quad.

I don't think any Mr O will ever be able to attain the level of vascularity that Cutler has.

one name. one man.
Doring.
Klaus Doring.

It will be sooner than that...15 years ago Lee Haney was the biggest at 245 in early nineties... today he'd be considered a lightweight.

I think were getting to the limit of what can possibly look good. I just think were just finally gonna get bodybuilders that are over six foot. I mean come on the idea height ain't 5 8

I think we pretty much hit that limit in 99.
Ronnie at 257 had shape and taper.
no one has really been bigger that had that same quality.
-
Huh? Of course.
Sean Allen (self proclaimed "next big thing") and Greg Kovacs.
