Lets get some pics up of the best calves ever....In my opinion...Im gonna say that Dorian Yates had the best ever....and then right after that, Tom Platz...feel free to disagree and to explain why...but lets see some pics.

where as someone like matarazzo was all genetics. his father had bigger calves and never trained them one day in his life. so what is there to respect? nothing.

matarazzo had the freakiest calves but Dorian's overall size, shape and cuts were the best ever.

Dorian Yates probably had the biggest calves in human history. Matarazzo perhaps comes second. The guy at the way bottom is phenominal but I don't know who he is.

Matazzaro....easily the best ever genetics for calf develpment. Yates is up there as are Platz, Dickerson, Gaspari and probably Branch.

I remember when that whole "flex wheeler has calf implants" stuff started, they even x-rayed him for implants. years later I would learn about synthol and finally make the connection....I wonder if Flex was the first guy to use synthol on a pro stage or at least teh first top guy to use it...or was it esciline?

usually guys with great calves, have very short lower legs.
dorian's legs and calves were farely long.

In that last photo with the standing calf machine, it's all for show. All the weights up top look cool, but look how much of the actual stack he's lifting- one plate!

It's gotta be Wheeler;s Flexed calves since Shawn got so suspicious of his genetics before and after the calf inspection turned up negative.

A tiny, gyno sporting,huge elbow having ,170 lb Chris Dickerson was the worst Mr O ever. Dickerson literally had no biceps. Second was a gyno ridden, injured leg having, smooth from the waist down Franco C. The guys best friend was promoting the show. He looked so bad it was comical he won that year. Those are the worst Mr O's ever.
If Jay was better then Ronnie on stage this year, which he was. What would you have said if Ronnie won the O. Greatest mr o ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??

Yes I couldn't find any decengt pics of Demelo's calvea but I do remember the mags having some awesome pics of him. I should have added Vince Taylor but someone else did mention him.

SOMETIME'S in the overall bbing scheme of things calves don't mean much today,but having even decent calves is nice.i think they look cool rounded out from a pair of long shorts.

I've always liked Shawn's.
When flexed, they are extremely angled and sharp.
Noone has every accused him of having implants, but
they look unnatural when flexed.
Bigger isn't always better.

Yeah, I know; I'm just saying I prefer the look of big calves when in contest shape. I would like to see what the rest of him looks like bc those calves look like they belong on someone who is 250+ in contest shape. Although it is not a problem for many bodybuilders today, calves can be too big and out of proportion to the rest of your physique.

Tina Lockwood had the largest legs and calves I have ever seen on a woman... and most men for that matter. During the mid-late 90's she was the girlfriend of an ex-training partner of mine. Legit 19" calves and 28" thighs. She made most men's legs in the gym look like toothpicks. She told me her legs were always big, even when she was a kid before she started training. I have no idea where she is now. That ex-training partner of mine got caught selling roids... he did 7 years for that.
