given the recent media attention to the deaths of so many climbers, it reminds me that mountain climbing is a truly hardcore activity, where only the elite reach the top and people dying in the attempt is commonplace.
this has inspired me.
i think i will test my might and willpower and superiority by climbing a few of north america's peaks, then climb mount everest.
do any of you have any climbing experience/stories?

Used to a lot of rock climbing, abseiling and potholing when I was younger. I liked it, can't say that I would want to do any of that again though.
Some things I wouldn't mind doing are (laugh if you want) the around the world yacht race or walk to the north pole

K2 is known as the most difficult climb in the world, its 2nd to everest in height but supposedly harder to vlimb.

i saw that at the hotel i stayed at while visiting naran ..kaghan and lake saiful muluk...
its much more fun when you r in a safe balconey smoking a ciggy!
