I hear this all the time... what's a wildcard?
How do you get to be a wildcard etc?
-
In reference to what?

Bodybuilding

means anything can happen or a person is capable of anything.

A wildcard in 2007 could win over Jay Cutler / Ronnie Coleman.
We will prolly see a Wildcard next year.

And how do you get to be a wildcard?
Or is it simply somebody who is brand new (new Pro) and is so good that everything is possible?

ive only seen a wild card two times. one was in pumping iron. the other in mr olympia 1983.

I am familiar with the networking version, but i'd love to hear more about this here where others can enjoy it!

ok. :P.well wild cards bit values are 32 bits placed along side IP network addresses to restric traffic (Ips and networks) inbound or outbound from your local network.(use the NAND gate i think)
at layer 3 the open standard protocol OSPF uses wild cards to advertise network and control which specific ranges of addresses within a network are advertised.
a wild card in short is basically an inverse of a subnetmask.
to get a wildcard (and most tekkies dont know this trick!) simply substract the subnetmask from 255.255.255.255 or /32
the end!
ya really want me to go into details..i'll have ta PM ya cause it'll be pages worth of typing..
