Title: 2 sides
Post by: Butterbean on December 22, 2006, 08:57:20 PM
Do you call the business and report the driver of their delivery van who is driving recklessly and obnoxiously?

Do you call the store and report to the manager the snotty attitude of the check-out person?

Do you report to the manager the sub-par restaurant server?

1)  Maybe the employee has just had an off day or just found out they have cancer and are unable to really focus on doing their job well.....  maybe your report would get them fired.

2)  If you were the business owner, wouldn't you want to know these things as you may be losing business due to the actions/attitudes of your employee?

Your thoughts?

Make the call, in the long run you'll be doing them a favour by reporting it (ie stopping them from getting fired if the service slips any further).

I tend to agree.  You also protect future consumers from potentially dangerous and/or abusive conduct.

agreed.  Customer service is a huge part of any business.  So yes make the call about the check-out person.  also a delivery driver being reckless is much more serious.  After all he is putting others at risk due to his behavior
