Title: Happy Birthday Jesus!
Post by: Lorie Kimes on December 24, 2006, 08:29:35 AM
Hello everyone! As most of you know I am the founder and owner of the Gym for Him ministry.
A ministry that teaches children to be strong inside and out, Spiritually & Physically

I wanted to share a tradition I do with my children every year. Me and my children bake a birthday cake togeather. We take the icing and spell out Happy Birthday JESUS then we add candles and the whole family sings Happy Birthday to Jesus and then of course we all have a big slice of birthday cake. I wanted to pass this along because it is such a fun reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.

I know of several wonderful Christian fitness & figure competitors. I would love for some of you to share your hearts in the spirit of Christmas!

God bless,
Lorie Kimes

So, how many candles go on the cake?

Just kidding... :D
Merry Christmas,

Yes, I thought it was Spring or October, I know it really isn't Dec 25th at least.

Just one more reason I hate this holiday - It's not even accurate on what it was originally supposed to represent.

I think every christian/catholic should do something about this!!    >:(

Boycotting would be a good place to start.    Taking "christ" right out of it would be second.

I am not very religious and I am offended.   >:(

aww common Amers..its still a day where people do good..a lot of homeless people get fed ..a lot of charity gets given..a lot of people are made happy.

historic inaccuracies aside if folks wanna pick a day to come together and be happy..me thinks they should be encouraged  :)

you r cute when mad  :-*

Why spring Toxy?
I went to a Catholic school. I remember them telling us that it was likely that baby Messiah was born in the spring - something to do with conversion of calendar dates and other historical data.

That statement is humorous, sad and true all in one pretty holiday package.

Great tradition Lorie...I think it's a neat idea.

Something like this might make for interesting bio content on a website....cough, cough, cough.... : )  Let's get that thing cranked out!  Sorry thought this might be a subtle reminder to get me text content for the site : )  Tell your family Merry Christmas for me....Julz says Hi!
