Title: Pulled or strained abdominal muscle...

I worked out w/my sister's b/f 5 days ago and he showed me an ab workout.  I pushed myself pretty hard to finish it and my lower abs were killing me after.  After about a day or so I noticed that I couldn't suck in or flex my lower abs.  Its now about 5 days after the workout and I still can't suck in or flex my stomach.  Has this happened to anyone else or could it be something worse than a pulled muscle like an apendicitis or something?  If its just a pulled muscle is there anything I can do to make it heal because I look pregnant!!!

yup go see a doctor. also next time, dont do any crazy ab routines....cable crunches is all you need.

I've hasd an ab strain before.  i was doing fine one moment and next i could barely stand up b/c of the intensity of the pain. the funny thing was that I wasnt training abs at all. i went to the E. R I ask the nurse, you know the one that  does bolld pressure and  ask you about whats wrong before you go in the room. He told me that it was mostly likely a strain.. when i got in the E.R. room. they run alot of test b/c there could be a lot of things i.e. kidney/liver stones and etc. after all that. they couldn't find anything wrong. so, they just told me I had a muscle strain of the abs. and just take some pain killer. I was fine a week later..

but see a doctor if theres any underlined probems with your stomach/abs area...hoply its a stain. a strain is easy, to take care of the anything else.

As has been said before go see a doctor. My friend thought he pulled an ab muscle but it was actually torn/ripped. He ended up not being able to do anything fitness related for about four months.
