Title: Volume for a natural (question for Milos)
Post by: WillRiker on January 01, 2007, 08:21:25 AM
I was wondering what the amount of volume for a natural trainee is?

Can a natural train as hard as someone who is on drugs or not?

Does as natural has to 'slow' him self down on training

It would be nice if Milos could share his thoughts about this subject

I was wondering what the amount of volume for a natural trainee is? - Amount he/she can handle...

Can a natural train as hard as someone who is on drugs or not? - Why not?

Does as natural has to 'slow' him self down on training - Why would he/she do that?

Milos has been juicing since the Carter administration. He probably isn't the best authority on natural bodybuilding.

Milos thanks for the response.

Can a natural trainee handle training 5 days a week, training the muscle groups twice a week for an average for 20 sets.

Or is that too much?

Volume, intensity, and periodization. When used correctly, you can use the same as Coleman does....just not as long as Coleman.

Again - WHY NOT?

Well Milos, here you are the expert and maybe I have no title to argue with you.
However I was convinced that hormones allow one to recover faster and hence to train more frequently. Is this false?
I'm a lifetime natural and after years of training I realized that I obtain the best results training each bodypart once a week.
Thanks

"However I was convinced that hormones allow one to recover faster and hence to train more frequently. Is this false?"

Depending on the type of "hormones"...but "IF you are thinking what I am thinking" - yes one will recover faster and hence be able to train more frequently...Still - my answer remains the same...Read the question AGAIN...

From my personal experience you can train as hard as you can, and put lots of intensity until you faint. Problem is that you will need more time to recover, and your growth will never be similar to a juiced guy. There are advantages, if you stop training you won't "disappear", because through the years you will naturally alter you structure, but never to the point that you probably want. My advice: No more than 9 sets for each muscle group (except leg, go aroun 12). Ocassionaly you should do drop sets. Again, the real problem is recovery, not strength it self, you are stronger than a guy that comes off after years of usage, and your body won't be looking like a fat guy with weak muscles. Everything has a counterpart.
