I just watched this yesterday. Looks to be a good idea. Have some good people involved. Kev, Hawaii should put together a team. The Hawaiian Sharks. Bet we would kick ass.
-
I know BJ coudln't be involved, though. His UFC contract would prohibit him from helping a rival organization. There is a decent talent pool here, and the events do draw. The only problem I forsee is travel expenses for other teams and the lack of a big "NAME" coach. Egan has been out of the limelight, as has Enson, BJ couldn't and Charuto doesn't quite have the name.

i like it ok but i feel that the IFL will have to get some bigger names involved to grow.
-
At least they seem to be committed to it for the long haul unlike a lot of promotions...cough, cough, WFA. ;D

They are getting the coaches, and with the coaches fighting one another in "superfights," it can only get better.

Giving the team names like Silverbacks and Pitbulls is silly because those names having no meaning. They should just name the teams after the coach's: Team Miletech, Team Renzo Gracie etc. This way, the fans would know what to expect from the fighters in the way of styles.
I actually spoke to Renzo about this. He knew I was right. We'll see what happens.
That said, I hope this succeeds, simply to give fighters options and to blow up the sport.

i agree. team gracie or whatever would mean alot more. i am glad its here. maybe the competition will take the pay ect. for mma fighters to a new level.

they actually pay their fighters salary and not just fight to fight
