Ok, so quick run down, overweight most of my life, got manboobs and trying to get rid of them and I am making good progress but, when I suck my stomach in, there is this one what seems to be a muscle that runs across my chest just below my pec, and it almost looks like its attached. I don't know if its a muscle or fat that is moving around since its soft. Wondering if its something you guys have experienced and is just a normal phase, or something I have to do in order to get rid of it IE declined bench press. Right now my chest workout is mainly flat bench bar press, DB flat bench press, pushups, and some DB shoulder raises which I can feel my pecs pulling and that's pretty much it. I don't do incline or decline anything so I was wondering if I should start. I've been trying to find a pic that shows the muscle system so I can see just what it is but i'm having issues tracking one down. Thanks.

Sounds like fat... or a tumor.... sorry but it's pretty hard to figure out what you are talking about.
Put it this way sounds like something that shouldn't be there.
Ditch the pushups and the shoulder raises (move em to shoulder day) Start doing incline it's a great movement along with dips.

Ya, sounds like fat over your ribs. Can you flex it?

you should see a doctor you could never go wrong being curious about your health

I think its fat. Because I can flex and I can feel the muscle underneath. So...inclines you say eh?

It does sound like fat. Diet and cardio answer.

Spot reduction of fat doesn't happen. Train the whole body, do plenty of cardio, eat a clean and slightly caloric defficient diet, and it'll go eventually. For me, lower back handles are the toughest to lose.
Viceral fat is behind the ab muscles, not on top of them, so will feel hard. It's also the most dangerous kind to your health. You can't go wrong getting a doc's opinion.

This is on top of the muscle. But I just got back from the gym and boy did it feel good. Did some inclines, declines, dips, and 20 mins of interval running and i'm beat!

Lipo or dedicated cardio/diet should do the trick. Of course, with lipo its less likely to come back if you gain fat again.

Well i've been running more than 10 mins and i've noticed a big difference already. That and i've started to change my diet. That and well, cancer is starting to creep into my life so I really gotta watch my diet and i'm going to run probably 20-30 mins every other day and 10 mins on days I actually lift heavy.
