he competed at the atlantic city show and looked fairly good..will he compete again?
-
For health reasons, I hope not. He went against his Dr.s orders in AC and said he just wanted to step on the stage once more. We'll see.

i agree. he should def. stop and be thankful just to be alive. bbing isn't everything

I agree, hes awesome but it'd be horrible to have another tragedy.

According to his article in MuscleMag, his doctors cleared him to compete, which is why he went through with it.

so did he get a kidney transplant because I would be pretty pissed if I gave him my kidney and then he went out and did steriods again.

He said he wanted to compete for one last show to prove he could still do it and retire from bodybuilding on your own terms.
Well here's an idea Don:
COMPETE WITHOUT USING FUCKING STEROIDS. >:(
He can still train hard, eat properly, and get in condition without drugs - how is competing on drugs a sign of any greater effort on his behalf? After all, his goal was to prove he could do it right? Do what though? Inject himself with drugs despite a serious health condition?
What's up w/the aggressive tone here MC? Hell a little juice probably do ol Donny some good. Free country here man. 8)

He got the transplant, because of a program where someone needing a kidney moves higher on the list, if a relative donates a kidney to somebody else. Long's sister, Michelle, entered that program because her kidneys weren't compatible for her brother. But joining that program bumped Don up the donor list. He got a kidney, but it eventually failed. And this was long before he decided to compete again.
Long claims that he would have never competed with that particular kidney he got, out of respect for his sister.
