Did you notice the whole field at the nationals was laging chest so bad it was a wonder how they got onstage!
These idiots just don't know how to train the pectorial muscles to the fullest and train like little girlie men in the gym.
Most of them manage to tear their pecs with 50 pound dumbell flies!!
hahahaha almost as sad as the squadfather's existance!

It's a staple in my routine as well as 100 pushups every morning and my chest is by far my best bodypart.

pros tend to be scared of it because of the injury potential which is stupid because the champs of the past all used it and their chests were huge and better than the guys today.

The weight belts always grind into my back, plus it sucks walking around with three 45's between my legs, it's crowded enough between them. ;D

Flat bench is the best builder of the chest. Arnold had the best chest of all time, Sergio and Lou round out the top three imo. However you can tear your chest easily with this exercise as opposed to others. The reason why pros tear is because the tendons are not strong enough. Steroids make muscles strong not thier tendons, so they basically out grow them. Arnold and company were never on that much juice to make those concerns real. They were early powerl lifters who through time, grew massive chest and had the genetics to back it up. Pros now are dudes on the bench of a Div III Community College mens basketball team or former sprinters. Thier gains were quick and sudden. They can't flat bench and will never have superior chest.

yeah but check out that dips bar, its different than anyone available at commercial gyms, gironda had very specific ideas on how chest should be trained and look like !

i know the gyms are big etc i just thought that dips bar was some old forgotten thing from back in the day and had no place in your high tech machine gyms

My gym is called World gym. It's not that big, but they have just about everything. That particular dip bar is old and could use a good painting though.

Are you suggesting that the majority of getbig has legs like Adonis and indulge in 3 chest workouts a week with 1/2 ROM bench press?

Flyes are important. I do not discount their value.

Absolutely; doesn't have to be BB benches. Guys who have the genetics and make the effort can use any exercise they find effective including flys, dips and DB benches.

Not at all. Some people are great responders to pressing exercises, thus all variations of dumbell/barbell presses give them big pecs. I'm one of those people who responds to squeezing exercises far more then pressing exercises, thus heavy flies pack on the mass for me. It was a tip I got from a musclemag article by gary strydom a long time ago and it paid off. All benchpress got me was bigger triceps and front delts.
