If it hasn't been mentioned yet, congratulations. You truly deserved it as being a worthy representative of the sport and one who was heard loud and clear long before people like Lee Priest were making the claim to being the IFBB's bad boy.
Shawn was always professional and generous, but spoke his mind and worked to make changes in the sport of bodybuilding.
Again, congratulations Suga Shawn Ray. You da man... ;D

Well - congratulations Shawn! 13 Times in the Top Five of the Mr. Olympia, that is an incredible streak, and Shawn definately deserves to be in the Hall of Fame!!!
-
Congrats Shawn :)
-
13 times as "also ran", that does deserve to be in the hall of fame

Is their a bodybuilding hall of fame? Boxing has one in Canasota, NY as baseball has one in Cooperstown. As does basketball and football. Is their a building that is the Bodybuilding Hall of Fame, or is it just a honorary tittle?

I can't imagine the "Bodybuilding Hall of Fame" being any more than some collection of pictures on someone's hard drive at Flex magazine.
Monster title for imaginary entity.

Absolutely right . There is no hall of fame. No building where The great phsiques are immortalized. This is just another bullshit thread started by by another hall of famer.

Somehow having Vince congratulate you or support anything anyone does kind of puts a negative on it. Since he is not respected at all in the industry his support hurts allot more than helps.

The industry doesn't have to respect me. I know my role in the sport of bodybuilding. Without folks like me around, you would be lucky to see a bodybuilder weigh over 200 pounds. Besides this is off subject
Congrats again Shawn

Congrats shawn.
Now...
If future generations were to forge a getbig hall of fame, who would be enshrined?

Is their a bodybuilding hall of fame?
Both Flex / IFBB have their own lists of people inducted into the Bodybuilding Hall of Fame. It started a while back, and it is a great idea. Yes, there is no concrete building or place yet, but one day, perhaps neat the Venice Boardwalk, there will be a place for it. Until then, we have a list of qualified individuals who have made a difference in our sport.

maybe its in montreal canada at the ifbb HQ? in the basement perhaps, with ben weider consecrating the "bond of induction" with his Man Muscle Sceptre. have a fun time with all that, shawn

Guaranteed there will never be a public place where they have a BB Hall of Fame. NO WAY. That cost alone would be something NO ONE would want to be responsible for. Weider in all these years with all millions of dollar made from BB hasn't even built a place. If anyone should have it should have been him. That shows how much he does for BB. He does what makes HIM money.

Dear Vince ,The only role you have in bodybuilding is the roll around your waist!
Congrats again Shawn

I think a public restroom with a broken toilet, syringes all laying on the floor, and pictures of all IFBB hall of fame members would make a fitting hall of fame.
-
Congrats to one of the best BBers of the last decade.
-
Shawn was one of the best BBers ever. Good to see he is still involved with the sport as well. Congrats Shawn.
