I have a very sensitive stomach and supplements tend to shoot thru me faster than you can say "ohmanthatssomebadgas." I have heard that Isopure is pretty easy on the gut. anyothers you all can recommend?

Isopure is indeed awesome, especially the fruit-flavored RTDs.
I would also recommend GNC 100% Whey Protein and Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey (Gold Standard). The RTDs, made by American Bodybuilding Nutrtition (ABB) are fantastic as well. I recommend Mass Recovery, Pure Pro, and Blue Thunder.

go and get some amino acids and bcaa for post workout and rely on real food the other times.

BCAA have a sparing effect with other proteins in the stomach, can give you the shits too.
Sounds to me like you should decrease your whey servings.

i disagree.
You are factually right, but the thing is to have the right mixture of BCAA and other aminos to have a good result.
Some people have no problem with much BCAA, some people have.
I tend to have 3.5g BCAA and 23g of mixed amino acids (that contain BCAA, too) post WO.

Yeah, I'm fine with 5g BCAA personally, but I have a friend that *says* he got the major shits... up all night when he tried it ;D

If your protien drinks are going right through you, get some digestive enzymes. God knows some of those ABB drinks ( blue thunder, XXL weightgainer ) were never meant for human consumption. Or try to eat more whole foods instead of liquid forms of protien. Tuna, Egg whites, Beef, Sashumi
-
yeah, i eat all those things, i have a very good diet. sample meals include:
breakfast:
20 oz black coffee
cottage cheese
whole grain toast with peanut butter
banana
snack:
small can tuna, 1/2 apple, 1/2 cup broc/cauliflower
lunch:
whole chicken breast
brown rice
baby spinach w/ fat free vinaigrette
snack 2:
1/2 chicken breast or 1/4 lbs ground turkey patty
baby spinach
1/2 apple
dinner:
chicken breast
yam w/sodium free ketchup
salad with fat free vinaigrette
dessert:
assorted fruit and cheese, 2 glasses wine
Now obviously i am not dieting for a contest, but this is an overall healthy diet where i get everything i need, but i would still like more protein, or to be able to throw a protein shake in there if iam too lazy to cook. I get plenty of fiber, i just can't handle certain things.

Tell me about it, i have IBS , i turn into a bloated whale with gas if i eat gluten , dairy , and all foods that give 'normal' people gas like beans , cabbage , garlic , onions....basically get the bad effects 10 times worse
not good!
I just had to get good at cooking and time management
I make egg white omletts with chef mate cooking spray which is only 2 cal's per serve
Geroge foreman lean beef mince
Boil up huge pot of about a tray of eggs (30) and keep in fridge
Cook large oven tray of chicken drums and keep in fridge/freezer (only eat meat)
And brown rice in rice cooker , potatos are quick to cut up then zap in microwave , all sorts of frozen veges can be done the same quickly.
Cans of tuna/salmon
You get it anyhow , its hard and sux compared to just taking a shake but it can work out cheaper and you get good at it , and also your body uses more calories to digest whole foods than a shake etc
Hope this helps :)

Yep. This is what I primarily used before I gave up whey. Very easy on the stomach.

Blend a handful of thumb-tacks in with your protein shakes... Works wonders!

I also have a sensitive stomach. I like Ultimate whey, (I can't get even near EAS protein for example). As far as aminos is concerned I only do once and while Arginine and Ornitine 2g a day.

Why did you give up whey, just out of curiosity, especially if you were using IsoPure RTDs that didn't bother your stomach?

What about Digestive enzymes, are those for real?

What about Digestive enzymes, are those for real?
Yes, but there are different enzymes for different food.
Lactase helps with milk digestion, bromelase helps with protein...
-
there isn't an all around digestive enzyme that helps with everything?? ???
-
I use these: http://www.nowfoods.com/?action=itemdetail&item_id=3112

I have a same problem , try ISO-100 Dymatize

ISOPURE YES

Dymatize is very good!

If its those RTD type protien drinks that are giving you trouble its more than likely the sugar alcohol type sweetners they use. The best way to moderate this is to drink them rather slowly, like 15 minuites or more to finish the bottle.

ABB stuff always gives me the runs,,,I wouldn't reccommend it for anyone with a sensitive stomach....most def Isopure.
