Title: How to measure your arms
Post by: El Diablo Blanco on January 12, 2007, 12:08:57 PM
When ARM size measurments are given should they be when flexed or relaxed?

when a bb says he has 22" arms.  Is that flexed?

Measurements should be ideally taken first thing in the morning upon waking up.  Arm girth is usually meant to mean flexed, "cold" (not "pumped," which occurs after working out).

Here's a good product for taking consistently reliable measurements:

I think that in this day and age, most probably not only measure them flexed, but also pumped to get as big result as possible...

Why would you not want to measure a muscle when it's pumped?
