Fish oil for the cholesterol.
I would pursue the cause of your anemia.

There could be other reasons for the anemia. I'd def find out why.

There could be many other reasons, which your Dr. should be proactively investigating. If he's/she's not, I'd find another Dr. pronto.

Anemia:
Iron Bisglycinate (also called 'easy iron'....dont take with grains. The phytates in grains bind with Iron. Calcium binds with Iron too.)
Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin)
Folic Acid
Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E (dont take E and Iron at the same time of day)
Copper (catalyst in red blood cell production)
High Cholesterol:
Red Yeast Rice w/ CoQ10
Lecithin Granules
Carlson Fish Oil

*bump*
old thread
What was the outcome on the anemia G.R.H.?
-
turns out tht the dr was WRONG! i never had anemia. i just had an ever so slightly abnormal count of something with the red or white blood cells. it was so long ago i even forgot what the doc said. they sent me to a hematologist at the time though, and i went to him about 3 or 4 times. he seriously told me that there was no reason why i should have even been sent to him! as far as the cholesterol. i was put on lipitor for about 6 weeks, and my cholesterol went from a 230 to about a 215 at the time. i have had no tests since then, (that was alos last year), and i have no idea what it is today! i still eat pretty shitty! and i have not used any cholesterol meds since then either!

How about guggulsterones?

Caution: I read somewhere that even though guggulsterones have been shown to lower cholesterol, they may alter the effect of cholesterol lowering meds, as well as AIDS and Cancer drugs
That research was probably funded by the Pharmaceutical Drug manufacturers. ;D
