I was bored today so I went out and ended up buying a 417 sq ft apartment that is still being constructed. Then I came home and I'm thinking, did I buy an apartment or a jailcell? ???
Is 417 too small?

Well if it's in NYC, don't worry about it because it will be worth twice what you paid for it in a few years. If it's in Florida, you're probably getting rooked.
The key in this market is to not buy in overbuilt areas where there isn't enough demand to justify the price. At the same time, you should always buy the most space/house you can afford. So if you can swing a 1BR or Junior 4 instead of a studio, I recommend you go for it.

Trust me anything is better than a studio in Dublin City, I had to move in one a couple of years back, and I had mice in my place...
Once I woke up, and I see this mice sitting in the middle of the floor eating bread crumps on the floor.
Glad to say since I have meet my GF and since live makes sense again, I have "upgraded" the living conditions drastically.
-
You know cleaning up the bread crumbs off the floor might have been a good idea.

It costed me $60,000 and a real estate agent I spoke to said if I rented it should be able to fetch around $500 a month since it's in the center of the city. At that rate even without figuring in property appreciation and increases in rent I could get my money back in 10 years. I guess it's not the worst investment. But then who the hell knows if that bitch spoke the truth.

This got me curious so I just measured and 417 sq ft is about the size of my dining room. But it does have a fireplace at an angle along one side that reduces the room size slightly.
