Title: Texas Rangers May Sign Sammy Sosa
Post by: Karl Kox on January 16, 2007, 08:07:45 AM
He played for them in 1989, and hit one home run.   He was traded by our wonderful George Bush.   He took a year off since 2oo5.

I live in Dallas and hope they do not sign him, because it will just be a reminder that they traded him in 89 and then he went on to hit almost 600 homeruns.

He took 5+ years to start doin anything after 89 though, what they really need to win is Walker Texas Ranger, now there is the best god damn guy out there.

Doesn't have the same bat speed when there was no gear controversy.  He will strike out a lot killing rallys as well, and is a serious liability on D.  If they sign him, he'd better be DH.

But this will be a fresh start for him and Arlington is probably the best hitter's park there is next to Coors.

Offense is way down in Coors field since they started freezing the baseballs.

Coors field is 6,000 feet above see level and a baseball travels 15% farther than at see level. Freezing the balls counteracted this.

fuck that overpaid, overrated, worthless piece of shit. As an Orioles fan, that douchebag was a cancer to that team in 2005. Fucking hit .221 with 16 homers and 60 rbi's. And oh by the way, got paid 16 million dollars that year for his fine performance.

Fucking wetback. He won't even make the team in Spring Training. Guaranteed, write it down.
