Only a few have and some of them are gimmicks. I could care less about them. I have close to 800 Pm's from people on here that are all positive and supportive. Many still ask me for training advice. I may not look like what I did below anymore but I still know more than most of the guys on here that are pretending and afraid to post their pics or tell us their names. Anyone, (most) who posts on here and talks shit and refuses to disclose who they are in real life is a troll and not taken seriously. I have had many people PM me to tell me their real name so that I know they are real, even their email and we communicate back and forth.
For all we know most of these guys are just kids who get together and come on here to put down guys and try to make them look bad who in real life kick their asses all the time by the same type of person. It is the perfect "revenge" for these guys. Hide behind a computer and say what you want to guys whohave acheived more than they ever will. Attempt to make them look bad while hiding behind a computer. Means nothing to me. I love coming on here cause its funny and informative at the same time. Guys like TA who has done really nothing in their lives are now big names on here. Big deal.
As for my strength. Never have I bragged about how strong I am now. In fact I have said it a million times that most of you on here that actually train are probably stronger than me now. I can't help that at that moment. I haven't been able to train like I used to since about 2000. I was fine to train right after the bite. The reactions and sickness didn't happen till a couple year later. When I lived in Vegas I was still pretty strong. I could still do 405 for reps and 315 BNP. Just not as easy or as many times. My weight was up in Vegas though. It wasn't until I got back here that my leg started bothering me when I couldn't lift anymore or even get around easy. It is also when the Lymphodema set in and my leg started getting really big.
Not sure if I was stronger than James but I do know that I would never have a spotter like he does. The msotI ever benched was only 585. It was very easy and I did try 600 right after but lost it and I never tried again. I had a mindset that I would bench 600 before the World Championships. The day before I left for Vegas for them is when I tried. I think I could have gotten it if I didn't do so many sets before. I was to tired. And I never tried again. The most I ever bench after that day was 545, but I did get a 505 incline in 1994 or 95 at The Gym.

And somewhere on here I think I put a retraction to this statement. I entered a bench for rep contest here and I thought it was 405. Well someone PM'ed and said it was 315. So I put on here I made a mistake and it was 315 not 405 I did for 23 reps. It was almost 20 years ago, so I don't even remember.
And when people on here think I am name dropping or bragging, I don't think I am. Even though I think I do think I mention to many peoples name on here. But I do it when that person I name is being talked about. Or I do to show validation. If I say something I did you can ask who I mention if its true and they will tell you. Instead of how many people on here just say shit that no one can find out if it true or not I include names and places and stuff so if you want to check call them or ask them when you see them.
And I am proud of what I have done. It took allot of work and time for me to do what I have done. And the biggest thing is that the situation I am in now makes those times even better. So I like to tell them. And so far from the PM's and other messages most other like them too. So the few who like to rag on me about it keep it up cause its funny.
And to answer the question about James and me. He is stronger now. But, I would have love to train with him back when I was strong. It would have been funny.

I like onlyme, he's a good man.....awesome stories and insane training......he's contributed a ton of great material to Getbig. The man can also take a joke and dish em out....I have respect for him.

No that is not me. I have NO hair. I am 1/2 filipino. NO hair.
And heree is a couple pics of me when I WAS in shape (or at least strong). I weighed 300. I was NOT a bodybuilder or anywhere ever have I said I was. I lifted to get strong and beat guys. I wasn't trying to get a six pack (even though I did have a 4 pack at one time). At 300 I thought and many others thought I looked pretty good. Girls sure liked it. And really, isn't that all that matters.

you've got a lot to be proud of big man, i'm a confident guy but i still know i'll never touch a 585 bench and neither will 99.99999999 percent of the guys who post on here.

Thanks Goudy and guys. I think I am one of the older guys on here. I just turned 47. I don't think I look my age since I have no wrinkles at all in my face and only some gray hair in my mustache. I definitely don't act my age and my best friends here are all in their 20's. I just get along with younger people. But, what I need to tell you younger guys who rag on me about talking about my past. At this time, my past is definitely the best time of my life. If I wasn't lucky enough to do the things I have done and to meet the people I have met I would have had a very very boring life and to tell you the truth I don't think I coudl have handle the past 8 years as well. The thing that keeps me going forward is the fact that I know at some time I will be able to get back into the shape Iwas once in and hopefully be close in strength. And the pics I post are not pics that I have because I walked up to a famous person and asked for a picture. I don't like doing that. If I did, then I would have 10 times more pics. But, most of the pics I have are with people I have worked with or done something with. And many of them they asked me for a pic. And most of them are from photgraphers that took them and sent me copies.
The moral of the story is when you get older you will appreciate your past. I never thought about this when I was younger. I had the attitude that I will alwasy be strong and nothing can beat me. Well reality set in and things DO change. What I did in the past keeps me going, because it gives me a goal to shoot for. You younger guys need to realize this. You ARE going to get older. And in some cases your past is going to be an important part of your future. You rag me about posting pics and name dropping. Well maybein your eyes I am, but in mine I try to share the things I have done cause it seems like most people do like it. I know I love to read the stories of others and what they did. I don't rag on them. I kind of wish I could of been there or done that.

Thanks but I too can be an asshole on here but I do try to respect the guys on here who deserve it. I rarley go after a guys who competes and has put in his time. EVen Vince as much as I rag him I gotta give it to him that he is delusional enough and gets drunk enough to actually get up on stage. And I may rag Sean but I give him props always to how good he USED to look. I have never ragged Chic on his body. He has a great body. It is the guys on here who constantly put down people that I get all over.
One thing I live by is why and how can you rag on someone who is better than you. I mean how can I rag on someone who has a better body than me and tell him he looks lke shit. Or how I can tell someone who is stronger than me that he is doing something wrong. I just don't get how you can rag someone who is better than you. I may do it now and then as fun but seriously I don't get it from others. How can the guys on here who have never lifted rag on guys who lift all the time and compete. TA rags on people and he has never done a thing. Alexxx rags on people who have 1000 times better body than his. I just don't get why people do that. I rag on Vince all the time. But he deserves it and its fun with him. No one on Getbig has more armour than Vince.
I don't know what it is but today I am typing more and being more serious. Sorry. But I am reflecting. It's a beautiful day here so I am in a great mood.

BerzerkFury--I've always backed you when people stalk you on this board, and you do have a few of those. But lay off onlyme. He seems like a cool character and has lived a life many of us wish we had. He posts pics and shares great stories and in my eyes isnt a braggart about his life. I personally like his posts and it would suck if he left this board. I think a lot of people feel this way. So maybe lay off the guy and lets concentrate on your stalkers on the V board.

I enjoy Keiths stories. My favorites are the ones with the Barbarians and all the crazy things they did. As a younger guy growing up in a new era of BB'ing/Life I enjoy reading stories from the past.

Not sure what pic, but I worked on Over the Top. I was the third casted as Bull Hurley behind Cleve Dean who was the first then Big John Studd then me and ultimately it ended up being Ric Zumwalt.

The last time I sqautted was in 1983. I ruptured my L4 and L5 and that was it. I do leg ext. leg curls. and sometime the leg press. Allot of calf work. I used to deadlift but not much. I did heavy seated rowns and weighted hypers. The most I ever deadlifted was 735 and the most I ever tried to squat was 500. I barely did the squat and the deadlift was kind of easy. No straps but a belt.
One short story (oh god). Back in 1997 or so I was training at the YMCA here. SOme guys were deadlifting. I was benching which was rigth next to where they were. I was sitting on the end of the bench when the guys asked me how much I could deadlift. I told them and I said it was awhile ago. They said "Bet you could do this easy" It was 500 even. I siad I don't know about that. One of the guys said try it. Now I was in the middle of benching. I said no. Well the guys kept asking me and almost begging me. Well now my macho comes in and honor so I said okay. So one of the guys says are yo going to warmup. I said no if I can't do it easy then I won't do it. Even to this day I try not to strain or at least make it look like I'm not straining. So I go over and grab the bar. I didn't even think or anything. And I lifted it. I did it okay easy but not perfect. But I did it. The guys couldn't believe it. SO I say okay thats it.
I walked over to the little desk they have in there where the PT's keep there stuff and leaned against the table. I knew I hurt myself. I left when no one was looking and went to my car. I got in and drove home. When I got home I got out of my car and fell to the ground. I was in my garage. I literally couldn't get up. I crawl on my hands and knees to my bedroom. How is the hell did you find that article. I have been looking for that since 1987. I had one copy of the magazine and lost it. I even talked to Pat Jordan about two months ago looking for a copy. He was going to send me onewhen he found it. Pat is a very accomplished and well known free lance writer. He is also the dad of Meg Ryan. Good find man. I owe you on this one. I was so excited to be in Time Magazine. You can see where it say dark sunglasses. At the time I was sponsored by Vuarnet Sunglasses and anytime I mention their name I got paid $500. I had to have the proof , so I asked Pat if he would include their name in the article. He said he would butcouldn't guarantee it would be in the final edit because Time is very careful about what they print and they would consider than free advertising. Well it ended up not being in there so I got no money for that article.

Man I swear I haven't seen or read that article in 18+ years. I was really excited when that happened. He said they edited it down quite a bit or it would have been bigger. Pat is a good guy. I actually told him about the Gracie brothers when they first moved to the US and he flew out and did a huge article on them for Playboy magazine and that is what got them their first initial publicity in the US. Then the doors were getting beat down for work. He also did a story on my friend Francis Sequira(?) who at the time was the oldest competitive bodybuilder at 73. He trained at Rays gym. He also discovered the Jamican bobsled team that they later made into a movie called Cool Runnings. He was a competitive bodybuilder too in FLorida. Man, I am glad you found that.

I was eating lunch with Judy Friedman (sorry for the name drop) who the Public Relations director or somethinglike that for Cannon Films. It was the day after or so when they told me I wasn't going to play opposite of Sly. We were just talking and she said that Sly in a meeting the other brought up that he liked how I turned my hat around at the table and everything changed. She said (I swear) you ought to sue him for taking that. In fact, he was going to wear the Vuarnet hat I had but when Vuarnet was contacted and told it would cost a minimum of $150,000 for the product placement they said no. You are absolutely right about that. I have no real proof just what others say and articles. MaxRep is the only person on here besides Beks that has personally seen me train and I think AmericanBullDog too. I have no pics but the one below that Gene Mozee took for M&F. The only other way is call Golds Honolulu and ask for Francis Silva or any of the other strong guys over there. And any other person who has seen me train. But you are right, I have no video or anything of me. I kind of wish I did.

Even chemically enhanced 500+ pound benches are rare as hell.

I figure if I lift hard for 3 to 4 months now I should be able to do 315 seated shoulder presses for 10. Thats with a pause at the bottom and all the way up. My bench I think I can get it back to doing 405 for at least 5 to 8 reps. My arms not sure. I am back in the gym starting tommorrow. I have not touched a weight since the 2nd week of Dec. since I got sick and then was in the hospital. I am good to go now. I needed a goal to keep me going. I think these are my goals. And at the same time I will be dropping weight. I will be on anything but protein. I haven't touched a roid since 1986. Once my strength gets back up to something at least pretty good I will have someone video me. I have a funny feeling my bench is going to be embarrassing at the start. Lucky to get 225 for 10. But I will see tommorrow. Cardio is going to be a big thing I am going to do. I spend at least an hour laying at beach a day. Tan aft always looks better than white fat. DJ is way stronger than I am now or possibly can get again. The guy is huge and strong. SO I am not going to try to beat him or whatever. But I am going to try to get some strength back. It seems my leg is fine and hopefully won't give me anymore problems. If so then I am good to go forward.

Seems to me we never lose the motivation 'to show them!' Keith, just get back to doing some training and to heck with proving anything. You paid your dues and don't have to impress the Getbig wannabes like Goodrum & Co. Where is little Melvin? Maybe he just woke up to the fact that he can't sell crap if he has no credibility.

I figure if I lift hard for 3 to 4 months now I should be able to do 315 seated shoulder presses for 10. Thats with a pause at the bottom and all the way up. My bench I think I can get it back to doing 405 for at least 5 to 8 reps. My arms not sure. I am back in the gym starting tommorrow. I have not touched a weight since the 2nd week of Dec. since I got sick and then was in the hospital. I am good to go now. I needed a goal to keep me going. I think these are my goals. And at the same time I will be dropping weight. I will be on anything but protein. I haven't touched a roid since 1986. Once my strength gets back up to something at least pretty good I will have someone video me. I have a funny feeling my bench is going to be embarrassing at the start. Lucky to get 225 for 10. But I will see tommorrow. Cardio is going to be a big thing I am going to do. I spend at least an hour laying at beach a day. Tan aft always looks better than white fat. DJ is way stronger than I am now or possibly can get again. The guy is huge and strong. SO I am not going to try to beat him or whatever. But I am going to try to get some strength back. It seems my leg is fine and hopefully won't give me anymore problems. If so then I am good to go forward.

Thanks guys. But I'm doing it for the guys on here. It is defintiely for me and my grandkids and daughters. But, what my Getbig brothers are doing is getting me motivated and now I have a goal. I always seem to do very good when I have a goal. It's like walking. I can't just go outside and start walking. I have to have a goal, like a place to go. Just like lifting. I have to have a goal I just can't lift and get good results. Before I got bit I was training for the Olympics. I swear to god I was doing things I would never have done if it wasn't that I was shooting for the Olympics. People that saw me train couldn;t beleive it. ANd the major thing was my cardio I was doing. I lived in an area called Waialae Iki. Which is up on the side of a mountain that overlooks Kahala, Diamond Head and the Waialae golf course (SOny Open). The one road that goes up this hill is very steep. It is steep enough where kids walk there bikes up it. Very rarely did you see people riding bikes up it. I lived exacly 1/2 mile up the road from the bottom. I trained at 8am and 4pm generally 4 days a week. I would ride my bike to and from the gym. I had to go over Diamond Head crater and over some other hills both ways. It was about 7 miles to the gym from my house. Well at the end of the ride I would have to ride up that hill to my house. I would do it and the whole time when I think I am ging to quit I kept going thinking to myself I need to do this to win a gold medal. SO many people would see me do this going up the hill and even sometime ride alongside and talk to me. their was always this van filled with 4 or 5 women going up the hill would always say hi to me and rout me on.
On weekends I would pull a tire around DIamond Head (picture). I filled it will cement and rock sometimes. I would also have my backpack sometimes with fruit and water. There was a lady who would have water for me when I walked by at her house. It would take me 3 hours to walk around the crater. So many people would run around or walk the crater. They woudl pass by and rout me on. Most of them knew what I was doing. The tire weighed about 100 lbs. But with the drag from the street it felt heavier.
But, I had a goal. ANd I really wanted to reach it and it pushed me. I need a goal. It's just the way I am. As long as I can stay healthy and not have anymore problems I know I can do it. So you guys on here push me so I want to do it. Plus, if I get back into shape, it will be harder for Sean to make fun of me. So I promise I will do this. And when I am done I think a book might be next. I have had several (many) people tell me a book like this would be good. So lets see how fast I can get this done.

I'd like to take this opportunity to verify that everything that Keith has stated throughout these posts is factual. I've known him for a long time now and have been a part of his "adventures" on many occasions and can personally guarantee that he does not exaggerate when he makes lifting claims or tells those humerous stories about those famous personalities of stage and screen and the sporting world.
Some of you accuse him of being a "name dropper", but he only "drops" those names in an effort to pass on humerous and sometimes interesting stories that he feels we'd all be interesting in hearing.
On a few occasions I have traveled with him in search of "past aquaintences" and have gotten to the front doors of Sly's house, Cher's house, Spelliing's house, and the homes of both "Barbarian Brothers" (old names we used to use in the past). We would have been invited in but we were always in LA very early in the morning on our way to some sporting function in LV and the "stars" usually don't start receiving guests till much later in the day.
He was once turned away from the front door of Bob Hope's Palm Springs residence, but only because "Bob" was too ill to receive guests that afternoon.
And I can state in complete honesty that Muhammad Ali and the Mrs. would go out of there way to greet him if they ever turned up in the same city at the same time. They respect Keith a heck of a lot.
I can probably say with certainty that I do know more stars and sports figures than Keith will ever meet in his lifetime, but I meet them under different circumstances which don't offer me the opportunity to pass on anything of interest or can be discussed among such a group as this.
So, Keith, keep on name droppen. You make this board interesting on a daily basis.

You mention Ali. You know how I love Ali. He made me money in high school. Betting on him when everyone else would bet on the other guy. He is definitely my biggest idol and the one guy in the world I have always wanted to meet. I just can't believe I got to meet him and become friends with him like I did. And his wife was great too. I won't bore anyone with the story, but if you get a chance to meet Ali do it. Cause he really is an awesome figure and you get goose bumps.

Hey, Only! Did you ever tell the ALI escalator/elevator story on here? I still crack up every time I think of that one.
If you didn't tell it or just feel like telling it again, please tell the complete version from the beginning to the end including Mrs Ali's confidential words of thanks to you and the wrestling match.
That complete story is one of my favorite sport's-time stories of all time and should be published in Reader's Digest.

You are absolutely right about that. I have no real proof just what others say and articles. MaxRep is the only person on here besides Beks that has personally seen me train and I think AmericanBullDog too. I have no pics but the one below that Gene Mozee took for M&F. The only other way is call Golds Honolulu and ask for Francis Silva or any of the other strong guys over there. And any other person who has seen me train. But you are right, I have no video or anything of me. I kind of wish I did.
Keith and I were workout partners not that long ago. Keith is full of modest B.S., He is very strong in any sense or measure. We lifted with some big strong guys at Golds Kona, Keith is highly respected and held in high regard by all.
As we became best friends I on many occasion listen to Keith speaking on the phone with body building greats, past and present! For a man who HAS done it and DOES know everybody in the sport he is a humble dude, always ready to help another at any time !!!
