Post by: Irongrip400 on January 28, 2007, 04:33:51 PM
Hey man, I know you have a SAG card, does that give you access to this event?  Thanks man.

No I don't think so.  DOwn front is by invitation only I think.  The upper and i the back are called seat fillers. This is probably where other SAG members can sit.  I can't remember the first year they had these awards my agent did get a couple invites to give to his clients.  He asked me and I said yes and then he said too bad I already gave them away.  It would be neat to go.

Exactly right, Keith...I could get seats...but they would be up in heaven.

I do get to vote on the awards, though...and I get all kinds of free DVD's from SAG. Just got

Venus, Departed and Little Miss Sunshine this week along with a bunch of free passes to see some others.

CHICK,
You must watch Departed.

It is the Best!

Blood Diamond was great also.

Now that you are out of Bodybuilding, how about you go Natural,(use the Adonis Principles :) ), sharpen your physique, and land the roles that you should be getting.

I`m not talking "Levrone" roles either.  Real Roles.  No reason why you couldn`t pick up some easy work.

Shit, youv`e got Arnold coming on.  Perhaps you two should talk after the show.

Yes that is the neat part about being able to vote.  The studios will do everything they can to sway your vote.

In my humble attempt to persuade all SAG/Academy Award voters, please be advised of the following .....

Dreamgirls - I think that this is the worst movie I have ever seen. To much screaming that is passed on for singing. Do onot vote for this one.
BUT .... the heavy set girl who did most all of the screaming in that movie should be up for an award of some kind... Just not a singing award.

Letters from Iwo Jima - I wasn't even on their side but this dipiction of the battle for Iwo Jima from the Japanese viewpoint was phenominal. I couldn't have done a better job on this one myself. Great job, Steve and Clint. And I hope you get that little bald headed statue for this one.

The Queen - The lady who played Queen Elizabeth will get the Academy Award for best female actress or I'll never go to a movie again. She was great and so was the lady who played the part of the Queen Mother.

The Departed - Wahlberg should get the best supporting actor for this one. He appears to me to be one of those guys who worked hard to get to the top and one of his earlier films where he played the part of a psycho killer convinced me that he was a fine actor. That and the fact that my cousin had to fight him in The Planet of the Apes and Wahlberg kept on encourageing him to hit harder to make it look real. He would have done it but the director nixed it somehow.

I wasn't too impressed by Babel but that means that it will probably win the overall and I hated The Last King of Scotland but have to admit that the lead actor who I have seen in many other movies filling bit part roles, finally impressed me. He will win Best Actor.

As a side-line, I just saw "Aces" and was impressed by the Tremor brothers, especially the lead bro who said, "You certainly are!" when the killer chick asked him if the elevator was going down. I think that small part will make him a star. Good movie but I was entirely confused by the ending. By the way, that penthouse suite was in the Mt Blu Hotel Casino at Stateline, Lake Tahoe; but I am not sure that they actually shot those scenes in that exact room.

No movie with bodybuilders in it as far as I know this year. What have you been working on, Chick. I just did a major major which would be of interest to ya. In fact I thought I saw you on the set but it turned out to be one of the computer genuises who also lifts at Gold's in Venice.

Could Get Biggers possibly come up with some sort of movie award for 2007? Might be a fun\ one to pull off.

I think Leonardo for Blood Diamond might be good for Best Actor.

Departed sucks to the core.. That movie was so called "translated to English" from a very popular Hong Kong movie titled Infernal Affairs.. If you can get the original movie, then you'll know what am saying..

Never happening, Forrest Whittaker has it in the bag.
