his talking points tonight were hilarious.
"The same people who hate the war, also hate reagan and love castro".
no shit, this was seriously the headline. I wish I could get a screenshot. incredible.

jane fonda wanted to talk about the war. Oreilly's man grilled her continually on her views on viewnam from 33 years ago.
um, look, 3 years ago, bill oreilly was having phone sex with an employee of his. That doesn't make him any less credible today when talking about family values, does it?
-
"ONLY 150,000 dead, accoring to UN estimates."
ONLY.
LMAO... i see this show as comedy now. He has this hot ass brunette michelle malkin on to bash the democrats for 5 minutes. Then they give this inbred looking blonde lady a 3-part question and then interrupt her when she's answering. As she bumbles through it, the hot brunette and OReilly talk to one another about the blonde retard's inability to answer questions.
-
Oreilly couldn't argue with Sean Penn's point about pre-emptive attack on a soverign nation who hasn't done anything wrong..
So he made fun of his hair.

classic deflection technique..............a ttack the hair!

A reader asked him why he no longer bashes the far right, instead focusing on the far left.
he said when the far right does something wrong, HE'LL TELL US ABOUT IT.

Haha, and that's the memo. But seriously, I wouldn't watch this guy if I didn't agree with the general thrust of his arguments. That being said, I'm not a huge fan anyway - I like my conservatives more moderate.

I watched him every night for years, because while he was to the right, he did use to show both sides.
Last year, he made a big deal about his new mission, to "even the media playing field". He then lost any semblance of fair and balanced. He openly admits when his listeners need to hear something about the right, he'll tell them. But the show is his way of evening what he considers media inequality.
He is no longer a journalist at this point - he is a white house mouthpiece.
And that is fine. but when people come on here and say he is fair, they are completely ignorant. I can't stand the guy anymore, I listen to him tell his viewers how anyone who questions Bush's judgment also "hates reagan and loves castro"... I mean seriously, he's a little "off".

Now picture about 30 million mindless minions like him, preaching to a dazed, shocked and confused 270 million, trying to bring them on board to dominate 6 billion.
Welcome to the world's nightmare!

he was referring to the far left nuts. and that was not the headline.
no where in his talking points did i hear him attack sean penn's hair. although who would blame him.
his 150,000 dead comment was a more accurate number than surandon's 650,000 dead.
hanoi jane should be grilled about veitnam. she should not even be alive in this country. when she's a part of your organization, you better rethink your views.
i am not defending oreilly. just get your facts straight.
all the far left media out there and you completely bash the one channel that leans right.
god you're a sheep.

He made fun of Penn's hair in the section after the Talking points, at the end of malkin's piece. Hence, I explained the piece with malkin after talking points. I thought that was obvious.

Do you believe that eevryone who is anti-war also "hates reagan and loves castro"?
-
For the record..........I love Reagan, and I'm very anti Iraq war!
P.S. Castro is evil, neo-cons blow donkeys, and extreme-libs need to stop whinning like little bitches over stupid shit
-

i think he did make his arguement when he stated how the US and Britain had the legal authority to remove Saddam after he broke the first resolution.

no, it wasn't obvious.

everyone who is anti-war? No.
those pyscho's at the protest??? probably most

There is such a thing as legal authority to invade a soveriegn country and cuase the death of 150,000+ iraqis to remove 1 man from power? Was it the UN's legal authority? Oh wait did they back the invasion?
That's insanely stupid.

Actually he's very far off becuase he's taking extremes and applying them to the bulk of people who are against this wasteful blunder called Iraq. It's a basic spin technique supporters of both parties use to attack each other with.

Oh come on... I loved Reagan and I hate Castro... let's be honest here for a minute.
The Republican party has been hijacked... period.
It is not the party of Goldwater and Goldwater would hate to see the Republican party turned into this fiasco.
Republicans used to be about smaller government... that provided tax cuts.
Republicans used to be about keep your religion to yourself... now they're about showing you that Christianity is the only way.
The FAR right wing neo-cons have hijacked the Republican party plain and simple.
I used to consider myself a Republican, but how can I do so now?
As far as the Dems are concerned... quit bitching and do something. I'm tired of everyone fucking whining.

You're correct. I was a lifelong hardcore republican til 2006. Now I consider myself a moderate republican, waiting for the party to return.
In 5 years, people will look back at this neoconservative time period as disgusting. I've seen some getbiggers here change positions, from complete Bush supporters, to just "waiting for him to leave office" in the last year on this forum. It's sad.

and the dems have always been the same straight-laced party?? come on
-
and the dems have always been the same straight-laced party?? come on
you're not answering the question about the horrible, dangerous direction the (some of) repub party has taken.
instead, you want to do a history lesson on the dems? is that the best you can do?
"Hey officer, I know you think I killed those two guys, but some guy named Stalin once killed 70 million people, so really, what's the big fking deal here?"
-
and the dems have always been the same straight-laced party?? come on
I didn't say that... but I certainly would say that the Dems are doing what they are as a response to the Hijacking of the Republican party...
Like I said... I used to consider myself a REAL Republican... what the hell do I have now? I was told my opinion is shit if I don't go along with the plan.
What choice do I have? Be a Libertarian... which is pretty much what the Republican party used to be.
Remember when conservative meant small government, defense, tax cuts, and keep our noses out of other peoples lives?
You don't? That's because it's been almost 15 years since they were like that.
You think I'm some Democratic uber-liberal? I remember when the Republican party didn't give a shit what you did on your own time... now they want to put their noses right into your business with wiretappings and illegal searches.
How can you possibly defend the Republican party right now...
I'm not saying the Dems are any better really, but since they haven't been in power in such a long time, they haven't had the opportunity to do some things maybe... But absolute power corrupts absolutely... and the Republicans have had absolute power for far too long.
All I know, is that what Bush and his cronies have done is nothing compared to a BJ in the oval office.
Hate if you wanna... and next time, respond to the point...
-

me with a history lesson?? what did holmes just preach about. history. i don't see you calling him out on it.
great, you're comparing stalin to a political party. can't YOU do better than that??
oh, almost forgot....... ::)

yea, WTF did you just try to say ::)

I would totally buy you a beer. (http://240fm.com/gb/cheers.gif)
He is part of the ever-shrinking group which agrees with Bush. Aside from him, there are the liberals, and then there is a group in the middle.
This group in the middle voted mostly for Bush. Once he got into office the second time, and the floodgates broke on the WMD lies, they started to open their eyes. When bush and cheney acknowleged that they would continue the war in Iraq indefinitely, and they would do this even if 99% of the American people didn't want that, they lost a lot of fans.
mighty, you HAVE to agree with Bush's stances. Tomorrow AM, he could say "Dick and I decided we will be invading Syria, lybia, jordan, S.Arabia, and lebanon", you wouldn't be able to disagree or you could be charged, since you're in the military.
You'll notice Bush is manuevering right now to try to squeak bills thru and reroute his power control on things, because he is trying to get in front of this mass exodus of congressional republicans.
Wait til 99% of CONGRESS says "Mr bush, it's time to leave iraq" and he still doesn't listen.
-

You're right... I didn't ask a question, I didn't need to... What's been going on with the Republican party is plain to see.
My history lesson was directly related to the Republican party... Which is what we were discussing... We were not discussing the Dems, so why bring them into it really. I remarked on them because you did.
Stalin at that time in the USSR WAS a political party unto himself. The party heads were afraid of him which is why one of them, Most likely Beria (head of the KGB) offed him... The similarities to the Republican party heads and the heads of the USSR is quite frightening.

So far, so good.
P.S. Castro is evil, neo-cons blow donkeys...
People may hate Castro, but at least - under his regime - his country's literacy rate is higher than the U.S.'s.

yikes! Well the republicans knew where to spend 400 billion didn't they?
-
People may hate Castro, but at least - under his regime - his country's literacy rate is higher than the U.S.'s.
Castro's problem is that he rules his country in a communist fashion, where people don't own things, the state owns all... People who are born and raised in Capitalist or even Socialist countries can't handle that.
In reality though, he's no fool... and if we had given him a spot on the Washington Senators Baseball team back in the 50s (as a pitcher) we would not be having this conversation.
Oh, and isn't it sad that the communists as a percentage are probably more well read and educated than this country with all of its great freedoms... Makes me sick to my stomach.
