Lunges by far....
No one does them because they destroy egos and annihilate your legs (esp Hams)
I do three sets (only)
10x 50lbs db
8x 60lbs db
6x 75 db , drop set with just a bar(45lbs) x 6-8
Be a man and LUNGE bitches

I like lunges but I rarely get around to do them :(
Used to be that I put them last, but that don't work because my legs are shaking too much at that time... so I probably will have to do them first.

I do 3 sets of i guess its like 12 with 135bb (dumbbells are harder though because i can only use the 50's with the db's)... i just video taped it. Ill put it on you tube. I cant do no drop sets though. but the lunges are awsome.

Lunges & step-ups to a bench. The only downside to lunges is possible knee strain; keep the reps higher.

Lunges are so tough, I usually do them though.
-
lunges are shit imo, saying that i have problems with them, in every way imaginable.
They seem unnecessary to me, do you guys think that they should be incorporated or can one live without them?
Personally I have no need for them as yet but maybe in the fututre who knows

If there’s no class going on in the cardio room we do walking lunges with a loaded barbell.
Longer strides and deepest ROM possible with a pause at the bottom (no bouncing up) hits the hams, but DESTROYS my glutes.
They’ll also blow you up, leaving you huffin & puffin after a set.
And good form is CRUCIAL. As somebody mentioned, mind your knees on these.
We’re also thinking of trying one-legged squats on a Smith Machine, propping the foot of the non-working leg on a bench positioned to the rear – just for something different.
And if I can talk my training partner into it, we may even try step-ups in the near future.
But you’re right, lunges are tough to beat.
I actually like doing them, but I still hate f*cking leg day.
>:(

Personally, I hate SLDL. But that might be because they're my last exercise and my legs are absolutely fried by time I get to them.
