But there is such thing as global warming. It's what we're enjoying right now. Global warming is not man made

Global warming is not man made

i really hope you r right...

ok ..out orbit around the sun wobbles..cause the sun itself orbits around the center of mass ( sun wobble)

when we r furthest away from the sun during a wobble we experience colder winters and warmer winters when we r closer due to the wobble..

scientists already account for this...

global warming is man made..

but again..i hope u r right..

I'm sure there's some things that haven't helped, we may have marginaly help speed it up a little. But we haven't caused global warming.

You've seen the news today haven't you? Gordon Brown and his stealth tax on air travel. Even the green groups have slammed him as a fucking liar.

How big is your carbon footprint Nordic? I'll show you mine if you show me yours  :-X

lol, i'm not saying man is 100% responsible for this change of global weather. Just think he's helped it along. The weathers been a changing since day 0 on earth.

{ROTFLOL} Aint that the truth. I spent all yesterday running around town trying to find a balaclava.

Finally found one at Canadian Tire. It was the last one too  :D  Screw fashion in this weather!!!

It hasn't been under 35 celcius here in 2 weeks (95 Fahrenheit)

has been as high as 42 C (108 F)

Ya well enjoy it while you can. None of the North American groundhogs saw their shadows, so we're in for an early spring. A late winter, and an early spring are OK in my books, but it looks like mother nature is making up for the shortage of time by concentrating the winter. In a few months, ...you'll be singing a different tune.

What part of Australia are you from?

I live in Perth

we don't have 'winter' just what you may describe as milder versions of summer

You could also have gone for the lovely Soviet Soldier Ushanka... comes with adjustible ear flaps for easy-livin' practicality. And, can easily be found in any army surplus store for under CAD$50.00. The resultant hat hair look after wearing one for half an hour is also usually quite fetching.

In florida, it was up to 89 F last week.  It was also down to 33 F.
Then out of nowhere we had 165+ mph tornadoes that wrecked a town.
It has rained once in the last 5 weeks.

Imagine another 3 or 4 years of this stuff.  Plants, animals, our food, our migrant worker/agruculture... everything will be changed.  They already changed the FL school system start date by FOUR WEEKS because of the weather.  It used to be, they started school in early Aug due to the migrant population moving.  Thanks to the extended warm summer, they're starting school in early Sept in 2007.  Otherwise, you have 20% of your student arriving to school a month late.

Apparently there's a chance this is what things will look like 45 years from now.

Global warming could make Canada an agricultural powerhouse while the U.S. becomes a dustbowl

1. US importing fruits and veggies from Canada in the future?

2. American environmental refugees streaming northward to the northern States and to Canada in the next 100 years?

3. A prolonged boom and bust real estate and land market north and south of the border?
Wild Card? a friendly takeover? Climate Wars ? Canada or one of the Provinces becomes the 51 State?
Droughts, Famine and Colonialism?

Believe it or not DeeDee, I actually considered it. I was getting desperate at not finding any balaclavas.
But I had my heart set on a balaclava because it covers the face. When the wind blows hard, it makes my eyes water like crazy, and I've in the past experienced burns from tear streaks freezing down my face. They went away in 48 hrs, but I have more peace of mind knowing my skin is covered.

Funny thing is right after I paid at the register... I went into the restroom at Canadian Tire, and put it on, then put my hood on over it.

I scared myself when I looked in the mirror.  :D

You should have seen the look on the cabbie's face when I slid into his car.  ;D

I can't wait to walk into the bank wearing it... I might have to whip out my bank card and greet the employees by name before one of them pushes the panic button.  ;D

I still can't get over how scary looking it is, ...but man is it ever warm.  :)

I actually used to own one.  :-\  But the hat hair was soooo bad, it was preferable to freeze.

Balaclavas are good too. Doesn't Holt's carry them in good colors at least, lol?

Didn't make it all the way over to Holts. I wouldn't mind getting a few in happy cheerful colours tho,
...but for now, ...this one will do the trick.

By tying the hood over it, I have the excuse for not removing it...and therefore no fashionable hat head.  :D

Is THIS the best time to be alive thru global warming?

our grandchildren will be faced with mass migrations, cities disappearing, and all that bullshit.  We get the good weather :)
