Title: Deadlifting when dieting
Post by: smaul on February 02, 2007, 06:39:22 AM
Supposedly its not a good idea to be doing this.  I've been fine so far.  Should I be careful or not especially?

Just do it, it will help you keep youīre size! Person who said "that donīt deadlift when cutting", must be a moron. Just donīt do singles, because when fat is burning away there is not so much "padding" on your joints and you risk an injury.

Why not,
just keep in mind that you're a little bit weaker due dieting.

I'd say no, because deadlifting isnt necessary as a bodybuilding exercise but at the same time is the most straining on the CNS. I'd say you should spare yourself the extra headache of having to recover from deadlifting in a dieted state. It's not like you're gonna be (or trying to) packin on any mass these weeks before the contest anyway.
