so many people here in sb and la ask my buddies and I how to throw down tuna that I thought I would share for all of those people that haven't learned technique yet. YOu should be able to get a can down in 3-5 bites a can no problem and no bad breath!
what you need:
1. Tuna
2. crystal light, soda whatever liquid you prefer
3. IF you aren't dinking a citrus based drink. grapefruit juice.
after opening and draining the can (I personally don't usually drink the brine but a few of my friends do and if I am a pissy angry mood for some reason I do...I digress..):
smash the tuna in the can with the spoon of fork until it isn't solid (helps it go down really quick and easy)
take a sip of your drink first so the tuna taste doesm't hit so hard (important especially on the 1st bite of second can)
keep your chin down when scooping th etuna in your mouth and also sip the drink with your chin down (blocks of passage way to your olfactory glands, (nose))
toss your head back with a big swallow
on to the next bite
afte your done swish and garggle the grapefruit juice and then either spit it out or swallow it and you can go talk to people with no one the wiser. Hope this might help someone. When someone finally taught me these tricks I was able to ralley add tuna to my eating regimen adn never get sick of it even after 2+ years

how much cottage cheese do you eat with one can of tuna?

Yes, you can make tuna taste great but sometimes you just need to get some protien in you in 2 minutes.
That's all I was posting about ;D
-
chilli sauce , or lemon and pepper seasoning :)

I feel sorry for anyone that's simply forcing tuna down their throat for no other reason than to get tuna into their bodies...
A scoop of protein powder is much quicker & tastier than trying to force down a dry can of tuna... It's cheaper per serving too.
I'm absolutely baffled by Atomic's post. That's just wrong! If you're going to eat solid food, you should enjoy it!

agreed nothing is better in life than food, and these hardgainer assholes with their bullshit mythology are ruining it for everyone

Half a bottle per can. It works. This is jalapeno sauce, mild, slightly sweet, not overpowering but effective for this purpose.
-
Screw it, just eat it straight from the can!!
I have a can as a filling in baked potato. Also have 2 cans mixed in with cup and a 1/2 of pasta.to make it taste better i just vary the sauce etc i mix in with the pasta/tuna mix. mayonnaise, brown sauce etc.

i ate a can today with some melta mozza cheese, salt and pepper. alot better than just straight from the can

first off, solid food is always better than protien powder except right before or after working out.
Second, if you feel sorry for others and I that understand how efficent and effective tuna to adding quality mass then I will just wait til you come around :-X

Please do tell the wondrous magic of the power of f#cking TUNA! And how the protein in a can of Tuna is so much more effective at building mass than drinking a protein shake?
Is the amino acid profile better than Whey protein? No.
Yes, solid meals are preferred, but for different reasons - than building mass. Solid meals sit in your stomach longer and are slower to digest, keeping you feeling fuller longer. However, if your primary goal is simply to get protein into your system, and since all your doing is forcing down a can of tuna to do just that, then drinking a whey protein shake is a MUCH more EFFECTIVE & EFFICIENT way of doing that.

I just finished my second can of tuna today, as is part of my weekday routine at work. I am not anti-supplement or a whole food nut by any stretch of the imagination, it's just that the 2 cans in the afternoon help keep me full by the time I make it home (when I can do some real damage if not careful).

tuna is disgusting, i don't see how anyone eats that shit.
-
I mash two cans of tuna very well in a bowl, squeeze a lemon, and add the lemon juice to the tuna. Tastes real good, and completely drowns out the bad smell.

how much cottage cheese do you eat with one can of tuna?
well for 95-100g can just a table spoon
if ur worried about that much make it low fat cottage, like me.
-
The main problem of protein-shakes is the fact that it produces a lot of "serious" gas ;D Once a day a protein-shake a day doesn't do much damage but that's really the max. Personally and others around me prefer other protein-sources like meat, poultry and fish.

Get a can of tuna in brine and add 4 egg whites to it mix it into slop then shape it into a pattie then fry in olive oil for a healthyish burger.
-
I just put a little ranch salad dressing on mine or I put the tuna in a big bowl of salad. With all the stuff you put in a salad you can barley taste the tuna. My problem is I put bacon bits and cheese in the salad so it takes away from the healthy meal.

That is a very good tip. Crystal light is a must for me when I eat tuna.
