Title: the original Ultimate Orange

What was in it that made it illegal? Does anyone here use the legal one they have out now?

Ephedrine.....LOTS of ephedrine.

I tried Ultimate Orange about 11 years ago. It worked as advertised......BUT, it give me a massive headache. During the 30-45 between the time you're supposed to consume it and the time you start training, UO was doing some weird stuff. First, my right arm went cold; then, it started twitching involuntarily, as I was trying to take a nap on the bus, heading for the gym.

I thought it was just my imagining things, until it happened again the following day. You know the old saying, "Once is an abberation; twice is a coincidence; three times is a trend." After taking Wednesday off, I took UO again for Thursday's workout, and just as it had on Monday and Tuesday, UO had my arm twitching and going cold, and I got a giant headache during my workout.

After that, I couldn't use it anymore. I don't like weird stuff like that happening to me, no matter how much of a boost it gives in the gym.

I haven't tried the new Ultimate Orange. But, I sure hope it doesn't have any effects like those from its predecessor.

There were a few of that back in the day... UP YOUR GAS was another one  :D

But they always came with side effects... like problems sleeping

Actually it was ephedra. Ephedrine is still legal as it is the pharmaceutical of ephedra. Ephedrine is just the active ingredient in the herb ma huang (ephedra). You can still buy ephedrine legally.
