You have a problem with the Dems raising taxes to fix the American economy...
...but you are a-okay with the Republicans spending $180 million each day to fix the iraqi nation.
???
-
There's no need to raise taxes any higher than they already are. Eventually, people are just going to stop paying altogether.
-
stop educating and treating (medically) illegal immigrants at the taxpayers expense all over the country. that would save a ton of cash right there

Not even 1/10th the savings that would come from not destroying a country then paying to rebuild it.
At least the illegals who are educated put that education to work for the American nation.
What does a $70 Million dollar Iraqi police hdq, with urine & feces running into light fixtures, one that is so badly built it's uninhabitable, do for the American economy... other than suck it dry.

It's already been proven that raising taxes doesn't fix the economy........just in case you haven't noticed our current economy........during wartime might I add!!

Do you have any idea just how much money Bush has BORRRRRRROWED in the last 6 years?
Surplus to huge deficit.

Totally agree. We are grossly overtaxed.

More illegals equals more joblessness here. That should be a basic understanding. The billions we spend on illegals would save money. Is that so hard to understand?

His new budget proposal has the country being in a surplus by 2012 if I recall correctly.

Sorry, I forgot about the problem of unemployed American migrant farm workers.
Gotta protect the American worm pickers.

Can you explain how - without raising taxes - we can turn it around by spending $200 mil a day in Iraq?
Please don't feed me Bush one-liners. Explain how going into debt SIX BILLION a month removes debt?

Can't really say I care. Think it had something to do with lowering medicare costs and some other shit that no one will want to do.
-
We are the world's most powerful economy, the world's largest creditor, the world's largest everything. Can't we erase the deficit without paying more taxes?

I'm sorry, do you live here? I'd rather pay for some poor negro who BELONGS here than some Mexican and his ten children that he dragged across the border. Billions, lady. We spend billions on these fuckers.

Bring some people home.

So you support pulling out of Iraq?

I support a different approach and less conventional units, more responsibilty on Iraqis.

Me too.
I think we should put our men on the oil pipeline, and guard the border from Suria and Iran. We should let the iraqi police do their job. they've had 2 years to learn. it's sink or swim time.
-
Suria eh? Wish I knew where that was.
Fuck Iraq. I really don't understand why we don't let the arabs kill each other. They're going to do it regardless, and we can save money.

f**k Iraq. I really don't understand why we don't let the arabs kill each other. They're going to do it regardless, and we can save money.
I couldn't agree more. Let's leave and Iran will come in and stabalize Iraq for us.
-

Then Saudi Arabia joins in and backs the Sunni while the Iranians are backing the Shiites,
...and you'll have the 3 largest oil producing nations at war - Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Iran.
What'll happen to the price of gas then $10 a gallon maybe? :P
What happens to the oil then? Do you think those nations are going to have Americans enjoying oil while their countries are in flames from an American led fiasco?
We got Nigeria nationlizing their oil, Bolivia already has...It'll then be up to Chavez to save your asses.
And you forget about emerging economies like India and China and the huge demand for oil that will bring.
-
Iran will stabalize Iraq, trust me. The sunni number only about 30% and they wont mind muslim rule, even if it is shia.
-

Yes, and despite what you believe and here, right around the last two or so years it's been cut almost in half. See, these some people think it was Bush who caused this deficit when in actuality it started about a year and a half before he got elected, so now you just chalk it up to another bi-polar liberal who just passed the buck!!

What's been cut in half is the rate at which you're sinking in debt. You're still sinking in it.

I do have a problem with the Dems raising taxes. If they want to block further fundin for the war, then why don't they try and do it, instead of "nonbinding" resolutions. What a charade
They want to undermine the war as much as possible but not to the point where they can be accused of pulling funding. Talk about having it both ways. Grow some balls instead of wavering along.

Man I completely agree.
