Title: Karla Homolka, Released Serial Killer of Teenage Girls Gives Birth to Girl Child
Post by: Deedee on February 10, 2007, 07:51:52 AM
Karla H., famous released Canadian serial killer, who helped then husband Paul Bernardo abduct, terrorize, rape, torture, sodomize, kill and dismember two teenage girls, just gave birth to a baby girl last Saturday. Some are outraged and think the baby should be taken away from her, especially in the light of the hardwon injunction against her by the victims' families which orders her to stay away from children. Others, like me, wonder who would have a kid with a serial killer? What would it be like to have a serial killer mom?  :o

I forgot, she also drugged and had sex with her unconscious sister because Paul wanted her to.  The sister choked on her own vomit and died.  :-\

I remember that story. Didn't she essentially scam the prosecution into believing her role in the killings was minor? She was a monster, the state should take away that baby.

Yes, she played the abused wife/stockholm syndrome card. There were videotapes of everything they did hidden within the diningroom chandelier.  The Ontario cops missed it though, and she ended up with a 12-year deal in exchange for her testimony. The tapes' location was eventually revealed by Bernardo's ex-atorney and everyone at the trial, including the families, had to witness the disgusting things they did to those girls.

Now, Homolka has her own kid who will eventually become a teenager too. It's too bizarre!  I agree.  That child should be taken away and given the chance for a normal life.

I think I know what you mean by this...

This is landmark though... Anna Nicole dies, and the world's first serial killer baby is born, all in the same week. It was definitely NOT a slow news week!

its a small sick world

i train just 2 blocks away from where paul bernardo first made himself famous as the scarborough rapist

i was driving one of my training partners home and i mentioned karla (i said if i was diagnosed with something terminal i would become a national hero by killing her) anywho, it turns his wife was chased down by him, he was grabing his crotch and saying the worst obscenities she had ever heard ... thankfull she got away.

Lucky her!!!

Looks like I was wrong about her giving birth to a girl.  It was a boy. Guess it really won't be all jolly jumper fun for the kid. Even the nurses at the hospital didn't want to administer to his birth.

MONTREAL -A Montreal hospital is investigating allegations that one or more of its staff members may have refused care to Karla Homolka before she gave birth to a baby boy last Saturday, the president of Quebec's professional nurses order said Friday.

Yup, the videos of her doing the worse of it and not her husband unfortunately came to light after both their trials.

I think it's one of Canada's all-time biggest law enforcement blunders ever. The families were furious.

There was also a big stink a few years ago when prison photos of Karla and other inmates having fun and partying were leaked.  This is a photo of Karla and Christina Sherry doing a mock prison fashion show. Christina was in prison for luring young girls to some apartment where they were raped by guy friends.

Gotta admit though, hardened Canadian female criminals are pretty hot.  :P

Definitely hotter than the bitches in the US pens...

Speaking of... how many murders do you have to commit to be considered a serial killer?

It's my nickname. My full given name is a little more regal. Both the Beach Boys and W.C. Yeats have paid homage to my name.

The men in my life say I do, but they're biased in my favor or, alternatively, are trying to elicit favors from me.

Debussey is a funny name too. It makes me think of tinkling pianos, despite the Gary Busey thing.

Lol... there was another prison scandal a few years back when it was leaked that Karla had been exchanging underwear with some guy in the men's section.

It three murders by the way... here's what it says in Wiki

A serial killer is someone who commits three or more murders in three or more separate locations with an emotional cooling off period in between the homicides. The cooling off period may last days, weeks, months, or years, and reference to separate events and separate locations distinguishes serial murder from spree and mass murder. Many are psychopaths, who are considered personality disordered and not psychotic, and thus appear to be quite normal and often even charming, a state of adaptation which Hervey Cleckley calls the "mask of sanity." There is often—but not always—a sexual element to the murders. All the murders may have been completed/attempted in a similar fashion and the victims may have had something in common, ex. occupation, race, sex, etc.

Charm is not a musical instrument.

In the metaphorical sense, it could be considered "musical,"  or at least, charm is usually "melodious" to the ears.

I don't play the cello or the clarinet though, if that's what you were asking.

What is your prime instrument then?

Debussey knew you would answer like this: "In the metaphorical sense, it could be considered "musical,"  or at least, charm is usually "melodious" to the ears."  ;D

C = hint at something else. 4 letter word. Can almost explode when played for extended amounts of time. Creates juicy music.

Debusseys instrument: Something to do with strings  8)

Deedee also knew where you were going with the original "C" post but attempted to deflect the personal question with an attempt at melodious charm.

I imagine it's one of the long-necked instruments, such as a guitar, or violin.

Funny you ask.  But yes I am. Although piano is fun, the stringed instruments make such hauntingly beautiful music, and are portable besides.  You can play them virtually anywhere. On the beach, in the car, the front porch, all it takes is imagination and for the mood to strike. Much more convenient than the piano.  Not to mention, the piano requires years of lessons. I don't know about you, but I picked up the ability to play a stringed instrument in no time at all. Soon enough, I got requests and rave reviews and even today there's nothing more satisfying that seeing an appreciative look in the eyes of a loved one after a particularly stirring concert. And I always encourage people to sing along too.

I'm amusing myself too much.

You mean weights? Yes I do. If you saw me, you would notice it. However, Jan and Feb are work slave months for me... I'm trapped in the beige hell for interminable hours, so I spend far too much time playing word games and arguing with people. Is that why you ask, Hedgie?  As it stands, I'm only getting to the gym on weekends and a few times a week at lunch.  If you knew who I was sharing a small office with right at this very minute, you wouldn't be surprised that I am here.  :)

-> You learn to play some string instruments quite quickly.. if you are willing to accept being mediocre. Eric Johnson said "you should always be a student of the guitar". He was correct. An exceptional ability on guitar/bass takes years, especially jazz and classical. On a violin=even longer.

-> You can become an ok piano player in a year or two by loads of intelligent practice. For jazz + classical: U better practice a bit longer. If U know theory and have technique + practicing skills from other instruments, becoming proficient at teh piano = a lot easier + quicker. -> An example: If you know the harmonization of scales and all the different arpeggios that can be derived + the turnarounds, learning these on a key instrument will be a pure technical thing (and here it helps if you know how to practice for optimal technique from another instrument). If you do not know about arpeggios, you must first learn about scales, then arps, then start to practice the arps on teh keys. Same with scales. This will demand a lot more effort + time.

-> Gary Busey supports Debusseys quest to improve its knowledge of music theory and Debusseys instrument skills. Under Garys mentoring Debussey = learnt a lot. The more you learn, teh more you see that you do not know shit = every day, Debussey understand that it does not know a lot. That is teh nature of the universe.

KABOOM.

Truthfully, I don't play any stringed instrument, although I wish I did. I was just kidding, and know very well how difficult it is to master an instrument.  But... not bad. This thread started off with dish about serial killers and ended off with advanced music theory.
