Do you think it's easier to get big quads or hams???
A few years ago I would say quads but it seems like hams just get progressively bigger...
What's easier for you ?
-
for me its the quads. there always people with big quads then hams..
-
Quads for me as well..... I feel that the reason for this is when people first start working out they neglect hams much like calves
-
Def easier to get big quads. Which makes it even more impressive when a guy gets on stage with a great set of quads but an even better pair of hammys! Due to the nature of the hammy's, it is a much smaller and more dense muscle group, bringing them up can be hard and take years. Sounds like your hard work is finally paying off ;D
-
Quads for sure.
-
My hammies grow real fast becuase of my split. I do alot of olympics lifts, high pulls, deads and other things that really get them cranked, while my quads just get hit on leg day.
-
Hams, seem to be easier. It is probably the way i do my exercises. For example always, do full squats, never parrallel or partials. Same with Leg press like to put my feet high up, get a good strech, feel i use my whole legs that way but maybe more so my hams. To me it's just less stress on my knees that way. Plus as mike mentioned lifts like stiff leg deadlifts working the hams.
For me I have to beat and beat the quads for them to grow, but hams always get a good pump and burn and they just seem to get bigger.
I have really big biceps and triceps are a pain to get big, legs seem to follow this idea ,big ham's and pain in the ass quads.
Now, if anyone figures out the secret to a giant back that is what I really need... ;D

Push: Chest, Shoulders, Quads, Tris....
Pull: Back, Bis, Hamstrings, Traps....
sometimes it can be as easy as Pushers vs. Pullers...I have much better developed pulling muscles
-
Yea that is exactly it except my back doesn't grow.
Bi's, traps, hams, grow great except for back
Tri's, Shoulders, Quads, chest are a pain. Chest used to be great but now shoulders are injured so can't push chest anymore :(.

yea i think most people neglect hams from the start more becuase of not knowing. i think more people should focus on stiff deads then endlessly being on the leg curl.....
