Title: Workout Routines of the Stars!
Post by: Tapeworm on February 11, 2007, 04:23:17 AM
Please enjoy the following, taken from page 263 of the biography "Harrison Ford, Imperfect Hero" by Garry Jenkins:

"At 6 or 6:30 each morning, Fran Horneff would oversee a workout consisting of:
-100 bench presses with 115 lb weights
-100 leg extensions with 70 lb weights
-100 leg curls with 50 lb weights
-200 assorted arm, upper body, and back excercises with 15 to 25 lb weights
-100 gridiron-style 'squad thrusts'
-up to 400 sit-ups"

Please note that the 113 rep deadlift (with 225 lb weights!) is consipcuously absent, but would be sure to help any serious physique athlete.

Be sure to follow this workout with a high protein lunch to reap the maximum benefit.  Now you too can build a physique on par with one of Hollywood's top earning stars!

no offence to harrison ford, but i can't believe personal trainers get paid so much for this CRAP.

i realise that the object of the game is not necessarily to build up too much muscular size (depending on role), but there are better ways to avoid that eg. stop doing weights (duh), cut calories, don't use gear, do more interesting/beneficial things like boxing, martial arts training, mountain climbing/biking, hell...get a fucking job brick laying, you'll be completing thousands of reps and you'll get paid! :)

i can't imagine a greater waste of time and effort than circuit weight training with 100+ reps. i know a lot of movie stars are guided to do this, but it is stupid beyond belief. 'high reps for definition' fallacy taken to the extreme.

Fair enough, but how many reps at 115 = a 500 bp?
