I thought bin laden was completely responsible?

Somehow, from his cave, he got FAA to destroy their recordings form that day, and got NORAD to lie about when they knew, and somehow tricked NORAD into ordering the inbound flights to turn around and circle in the ocean.

how did he do that anyway?

A girlfriend is not as important as a mans mission in life. If a man has an intense desire to do something radical, it should always go before a girfriend. (If he is married and feels this mission in a way, he should never gotten married in teh first place).
