my back is extremely flexible. holding it is just a matter of practice. i know it looks shady to you guys, and let's be honest if you're a bodybuilder what i'm doing there is entirely worthless. but if you're doing a PL meet, the tighter you can make your arch, the better you can do. as long as my ass and shoulders are down it's good.

yeah, the 455 was just sad. i bought that shirt recently and still can't get it on right. i'm probably going to ship it back to inzer for a quick modification (bring the neckline way down), then we'll see how that goes.

Do you not care about the stretched skin you may have and the fact that you are obese?

I know being obese helps with lifting overall weight, I`ve been there and done that.  

Are you going to stay looking like this or are you going to change?  Just curious.

yeah i know about competition benching i had a friend and training partner who did 660 officially in a shirt and he was the same way he could hold that arch like that, he was 5'11" 295, he only did 500 shirtless but got a lot out of the shirt, that 335 looked pretty easy though.

eh, my skin's brittle. i had stretch marks when i was 215, the marks at 260 are a little bigger but not enough to make me all self-conscious. i also made sure to cover them up on my right side with a giant tattoo, haha.

like i keep saying, i have a meet on april 22nd (provided i can arrange a motel or something, that's starting to look a little tricky  :-\ ), and after that i'm going to take a few months and trim down. i'm no bodybuilder, so sitting at 3% is not only pointless but counterproductive for me. if i get down to around 220-225 that should be plenty, then it's time to work back up.

people forget how little or how much you can get out of a shirt is dependent on a lot of things. some guys have massively strong lockouts and great technique, so their shirted benches are 300 pounds over their raw. some guys have a lot of chest strength but not much at the lockout, so shirts won't get them nearly as much.

i missed 365 raw by an inch last week, mostly because i couldn't hold my form. i'll see if i can get that one on the old youtube.

Sorry, "Zack," but there is no way you're 260.  Your arms look 15.5", you have basically no mass to speak of, apart of course from your pot belly.  epic delusions

dude, if you want a picture of me on a scale, i'll do that today. i've been between 260 and 265 for the past few weeks. and my arms taped at 18.5" last time i checked. i have no damn reason to lie, so far i've backed up every claim i've made concerning my lifting. why would i start making shit up now?

people forget how little or how much you can get out of a shirt is dependent on a lot of things. some guys have massively strong lockouts and great technique, so their shirted benches are 300 pounds over their raw. some guys have a lot of chest strength but not much at the lockout, so shirts won't get them nearly as much.

Adonis is there any danger to getting to thin to the point that you lose the fat pads in your face that help everyone look young, Can one get them back to the original form.  I noticed guys that are really ripped have serious hollow eye syndrome making them look very old and their skin and eyes never look the same again even when they put some weight back. What is your opinion on this, is it a myth?

My Gay stylist told me that the other day!   The chiseled face look is cool though!


I think a lot of it has to do with people overtanning, as far as how the skin looks when lean.   One should never use a tanning bed and not go outside without sunblock.  Your skin will thank you!

What?  If he's 260 now, by your claim he's about 45% bodyfat!!!!!

If he's 25% bf right now, he'd only have to go to 205 to be around 4% bf.

that shirt is far too big. you can tell by fact ur arms were at naval level at the start of the video. also really get ip pulled down at the front and under the chest. get a guy to almost hang off it,

x rage necks are notoriously high. just get used to it. once its pulled down then u put a belt on tight and i mean tight. holds it in correct place. x rage onluy need to be tight across the chest.

also slouch until u just lie down on bench...that way u arent loosening the shirt and pulling out of the belt.

few tips trhat work. def get a smaller shirt. learn to pause it on your chest and work on lockouts

i think i'm going to get it scooped neck, actually. my old denim worked a hell of a lot better that way and i've got a few people telling me the thing will be solid if i go that route.

you're definitely right about sizing, i actually bought it off of someone else. it was $100, so i figured i might as well go for it, you know? i'll get one made to fit me better at some point. also right on getting help with the thing. i've got a guy here in the 'burgh who knows what he's doing, and i managed to eak out a 455 press a few weeks back.

at some point i'll get videos up again. i'm a super newbie with gear, and particularly the rage-x, haha. fortunately i just picked up some bands, doing a lot of board presses, lockouts, and speed work. heavy bench on wednesday, speed on saturday.

its hard to explain but ya get some one to pull whole bw down on shirt as u lean forward then stretch up arms and all pulls it down an inch or so. whilst doin this put belt on tight tight tight.

also the groove of x rage is inclined to press over head so be careful. great shirt tho. i wudnt fuck abt too much with bands chains. boards are sweet just gradually decrease them.

28% sounds possible, 30% is probably high, though. i'd be around the 200 mark at "contest condition", lower than that to account for water loss, which sounds fairly accurate.

adonis thinks that the amount of muscle on his body is the most that any natural could ever have. thus, if he's around 155 pounds at 4% bodyfat, that means there's no way anyone else could weigh more at similar bodyfat levels. it's all about jealousy, back when he was fat like me (although he was certainly fatter, at least you can see muscle on me) he called everyone skinny and weak.

Maybe cos he used to be larger, he has now developed an appearance related disorder, such as bulimia or anorexia, to a degree.  If he was big at school and got bullied by the other kids that could explain him having a bit of a complex about being big now.  He would keep himself at such a low bodyweight deliberately cos when he looked in the mirror he would still be seeing the fat kid from school.

This kind of thing can be found in many trainers, except it is the other way around.  They used to be small, and they still see themselves as small, no matter how big they get, so they are endlessly trying to achieve something that they mentally will not accept.

Mental issues such as these need to be addressed via counselling before they cause serious health problems.

the shirt's definitely dynamite, the learning curve is just crazy. Supreme stopping power, but without enough speed to take advantage of it i stall partway up. hence the bands. more on the boards and rack lockouts, though.

Have you tried a Titan yet?  I used a 2-ply rage x for a few months and switched to a single ply fury and I actually get more out of it.  The F-6 is made more for the big arch guys like yourself.  I think with your good form and arch that you have the Titan would be the one to go with.

Bench raw, bench shirts are like Synthol in bodybuilding, fucking retarded.

i know where you're coming from (synthol is fake muscle, the shirt adds to the lift), but it's not quite right. think of it more like a curved hockey stick or carefully engineered running shoes. football pads/gloves/stickum, or that one-piece swimsuit that was engineered in the 1980s with a lubricant to make that girl in the olympics swim a lot faster.

in addition, these are legal, unlike synthol. you don't get penalized for wearing one, they're par for the course. also, and you'll just have to trust me on this, although a shirt or a suit lets you lift more, it's a hell of a lot harder.

yeah i remember reading Louie Simmons making almost that exact same argument, he's right, in every other sport you have advances in equipment yet PL'ing was staying behind.

truth be told i prefer training raw, and until this contest was coming up i didn't use my shit much at all. and you'll notice i never use my equipped numbers when i'm talking about how strong i am around here unless it's to someone else who lifts with the gear (such as not saying my bench was 460 in the adonis challege even though i've done it in a denim shirt).

on the other hand, it's one of those things you just have to try out for yourself. it really is fun as hell and turns it into more of a technique sport, which is why i think i'll stick with it.  8)

you need to concentrate on building your self up and leaning out and being healthy, why go down this path of retartedness being a fat ass with very visable jelly roles in your shirt..

exactly. a lot of these guys don't seem to get the concept that some people just like lifting, and shape/size/conditioning is a real secondary concern. you find the same on PL boards, guys who don't get why someone would lift just for looks.

when i was around 13 i remember seeing a guy bench 385 and thinking i'd rather be fat but strong than small and ripped. so here i am!  :D

for my size i'm in surprisingly good cardiovascular shape. i'm not going to be breaking any mile times, but my cholesterol's low, blood pressure's fine, and my heart rate is around 70bpm. i get checkups now and again, doc tells me that while i'm certainly "overweight" there's nothing in my numbers to indicate i'm unhealthy.

Another thing.  Get a new handoff guy.  It looks like you are practically taking that 455 out of the racks yourself.  The way he is standing(sideways) there is no way he can bring the bar out to where you can just go straight down to where you touch.

28% sounds possible, 30% is probably high, though. i'd be around the 200 mark at "contest condition", lower than that to account for water loss, which sounds fairly accurate.

Another thing.  Get a new handoff guy.  It looks like you are practically taking that 455 out of the racks yourself.  The way he is standing(sideways) there is no way he can bring the bar out to where you can just go straight down to where you touch.

i don't actually have a "handoff guy" unfortunately. or at least i didn't, most of the time i was snagging anyone in the area who looked like they could actually be helpful. lately i've managed to get a somewhat-regular training parter, or at least a frequent handoff guy.

that's the other big problem, though. most guys don't realize "where" to let the bar go, so most of the time it starts over my face so i have to reposition myself before i can even start.
