BAHAHAHAHAHAHA I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYONE THAT SKINNY IN MY LIFE! MAYBE ALL THE "TRAINING" ACTUALLY MADE HIM SMALLER DISCUSS!
Actually, he was on the dumbest cutting diet I've ever seen in my life... it was like 100% protein, with next to zero carbs and next to zero fat.
The fact that he ended up looking like an Ethiopian does not surprise me.

So, why do many "experienced" guys do the exact opposite of what science would advice?

even though Mike overdieted he still had an impressive amount of muscle as evidenced by that side chest shot, he'll definitely do better next time.

Nice arm & Shoulder size Arvilla. I can imagine with no carbohydrates and daily cardio the legs and chest may have fell behind bieng compound motions. The brain isn't going to give it full effort if it hasn't got to fuel.
First class effort for any man or woman, commendable for sure.

if his contest diet had been better he would have been a shit-ton bigger. people need to remember that just because someone looked big when they were fat and then small when they lost weight, it doesn't mean they had no muscle. it's entirely possible it was just a shitty cutting diet, and arvilla definitely lost some size along the way. with more experience under his belt he'll no doubt end up looking excellent.
not to mention he's a good inspiration for us "hefty" fellas. ;D
