Gallup Polls: 63% of Americans say "Bring troops home" by 2008!
Good morning baghdad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Sounds good.
Pick a side to back in the civil war and go from there.
-
63% agree with what the dems are saying?
Wow, too bad.
Although i am very much against the war, i'm NOT all too sure leaving right now would be a good idea.

Polls are far more preferable than numbers pulled out of thin air. :-\

For all you no reading bitches out there... I have admitted many times that I dont' like how the war is going, I don't like alot of things. #1 Bush isn't the strategist, he goes on what the military leadership tells him. Before you go find quotes on generals disagreeing don't bother. Only one General's opinion matters. If you put 20 of them in a room they won't all agree. #2, the original plan worked to a T. We went to remove saddam and did so in no time flat. #3 no matter how I feel about how the war has gone to this point, we CANNOT afford to withdraw at this time. #4 as soon as the Dems propose a better strategy I will listen to thier point (I actually agree with 240 on strategy) So listen Ozmo, I dont' have my head in the sand praising Bush, far from it. We are in it for whatever reason, but now we have to stay. Bashing him is only seperating the country.

Actually bashing Bush is the one thing both sides agree on... he's an imbecile.
Whether or not you "stay the course" or change strategy is the contentious issue on both sides of the aisle.

I'll be your valentine. I'm guessing you are attractive because Canada produces great looking ladies (shania, Pam Anderson, Carmen Electra, Tanya Memme etc...)

Strategies have been changed. They are changed on a daily basis, but like I said there is no history on how to fight an enemy with no uniforms, identifiable leadership etc... This is all fly by night, and unfortunately there is no other way to do it.

What... you mean you can't fight a boogey man? ...a figment of people's imaginations?

No, that's flawed thinking, and i wouldn't be suprised if that Idiot, (BUSH) only consulted one general. Only a moron would do that. Not to mention the fact that he didn;t consult POWELL, a man with actual war experience. The prudent thing is to hear from as many informed/compentent Generals, intellengence poeple and stratagists as possible and make a decision. It seems he didn;t do that. And yeah, you should put 20 General in a room and let them debate it out for a period of time and you'll see that htey will many times come to a concensous and or change their opinion based on debate and discussion.
#2, the original plan worked to a T. We went to remove saddam and did so in no time flat.
the oriingal plan was to remove sadaam and install a working stable democratic government. So the original plan only was 50% successful.
#3 no matter how I feel about how the war has gone to this point, we CANNOT afford to withdraw at this time.
We both agree.
#4 as soon as the Dems propose a better strategy I will listen to thier point (I actually agree with 240 on strategy) So listen Ozmo, I dont' have my head in the sand praising Bush, far from it. We are in it for whatever reason, but now we have to stay.
IF and it's a big IF, becuase i haven't verified it, If it's a gallop poll it's probably pretty dam close to accurate which should tell you something:
People are fed up with BUSH's mishandling of AMERICAN LIVES.
I agree, 240 has a propensity to slant facts to support his debate. But IF this is a gallop poll that says exactly what he posted then it's no slant.
Bashing him is only seperating the country.
I'm not going to join in chorus in Hitler's bunker dude, becuase that's exactly waht you are doing when you support a leader who has blundered like BUSH has.
People need to speak up to prevent stupid idiots from following other stupid idiots.

{blush} :-[ sorry, I can't respond right now... my mother taught me never to speak when my mouth is full. :-X
I think it would be better not to give others a target to begin with. I just know that if someone were actually on the roof fixing my house, ...I wouldn't try to be pushing the ladder out from underneath him. If however, he was making it worse, I might be inclined to want him to go.
