There would be no BB the way it its today if it weren't for Big A! Everything Arnold dose, is picked apart. Give the guy a break! He's done more for BB (and the US) then anybody ever will again. You Americans should listen to him and shut the fuck up! Maybe you won't be Concorde by all the Eastern factions that want to do you in! No Offence!

first arnold never said 'he lost the 1980 olympia' in that interview.
my opinion is that mentzer looks great,,,thick dense muscle...but everyone loves arnold and its hard not to give it to him cos of who he is.
but i will re-look at the photos and reply back later

Nah, Mentzer had some real flaws including so-so aesthetics relative to guys like Zane & Arnold, a weird fairly mediocre chest, big abs and narrow shoulders. Also he didn't have the conditioning Zane and Arnold had:

If he'd had been less arrogant he'd have accepted that if great BBs like Robinson & Padilla had been unfairly denied in other contest, anything was possible. And thus not been shell-shocked by the outcome. Shown some balls and come back in better condition the following years when the field was wide-open.
