Title: Why do christians allow themselves to get bit by snakes???

and i KNOW most christians are embrassed that them snake people call themselves christians..

Good thing they are using Timber Rattlesnakes and Copperheads, not the most potent of venomous snakes. Try doing that shit with a Tiger snake or a Black or Green Mamba

its like the idiots i used to see in pakistan...

the poor workers that haul brick in donkey carts..well they'd leave their stuff laying around..donkey un tethered....allah (god) will look after my stuff

then when they'd incure a loss they'd sit there n cry and ask god why he's punishing em :-\

Those pakis don't know any better, but these guys who are letting snakes bite them are much better off. These guys should know better.

LEARN how to seperate socio cultural mores in a society from religion..

snakebiting is a social more..albiet subcultural...i have not read the bible BUT i can make a fair bet no where in there it says..test your faith with snakes..

i can gve similar examples about islam but i think i've already made my point without having to type a whole bunch..

It can be argued that religion itself is a folkway in certain societies, as the folkways in those societies comes directly from religion and mores may simply be people acting out. Think about those pakis leaving their goods in god's hands for a sec.

..similarly...most of the stuff Nord posts on here is taken out of context and/or non existant in the koran..

On one hand, doing stupid mess like handling venomous snakes and thinking you're not going get bit because you are invoking God's name is tempting him to put some Real Fear of the Wrath of God. But then it has been said that, "God protects fools and babies". Which is it ???. Because these people are certainly fools.
