A Pakistani minister and woman ’s activist has been shot dead by an Islamic extremist for refusing to wear the veil. Zilla Huma Usman, the minister for social welfare in Punjab province and an ally of President Pervez Musharraf, was killed by a “fanatic” as she was about to deliver a speech to dozens of party activists.

Yep, religious extremists are scary. Even our own.   :)

But what your side never seems to understand is that our foreign policy is tailor-made to produce more of them.

Can anyone dispute the fact that islam is opressive towards women? Where are haider and toxy on this one?
