Radio Show Announces Deal with new Mr. Olympia

Pro Bodybuilding Weekly, the popular talk radio show devoted to the world of professional bodybuilding, announces the signing of Mr. Olympia, Jay Cutler. The announcement comes just days after the program shattered audience records during a memorable interview with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Cutler explains, "As the new Mr. Olympia, I feel that it's important to maintain contact with the fans. PBW has become a great way to communicate with bodybuilding supporters all over the world. The show has had a big impact on the industry and I'm just glad to be a part of it."
PBW's creator Dan Solomon explains, "We're very excited to welcome Jay to the team. Our growing family of major sponsors has put us in a unique position to develop the show in several areas. The signing of the reigning Mr. Olympia is great news for our listeners."
Cutler, who will seek a second straight Mr. Olympia title in September, will be featured in PBW's new ad campaign. Co-hosted by Solomon and the outspoken Bob Cicherillo, the one-hour weekly broadcasts are presented by supplement giant MuscleTech and brought to you by Bodybuilding.com, the world's # 1 most visited bodybuilding website.

Wow. Two years ago there was no bodybuilding radio. Their influence today is undeniable. Mags, online radio, webcasts, plus the huge listener base. And the Arnold interview and the Cutler signing within a week. Seriously, I'm impressed.

This is HUGE! PBW has come a long way and definitly proving that we are true supporters of bodybuilding and are here to stay. I would like to welcome Jay to the team and also congratulate Dan for being consistant and persistant in making PBW what it is today.

Not really. Since i'm an iron vet, I know better than to buy muscle magazines or listen to what any of the pro's say anyway. All the pro's are good for is a freak show and i do love the FREAK shows! But give a rat's ass about their lifes or endorsements or contracts or radio gigs? ba haha

The guy is awesome and works like a horse to get these things coming his way.
I don't get you, guys. Would you rather have a representative to the sport along the lines of a Howard Stern of bodybuilding? I'm glad Jay is the way he is. Reminds a lot o people what this sport should be built on: seriousness and work ethic, not a circus, WWE tragic comedy type of freak show.

He used bodybuilding as a catapult to propell him to greater and better things, like the business world, the movies and now politics. He was great in each walk of life he chose, no doubt about it. Arnold was awesome, but his time in bodybuilding ended up in 1975, after winning the 1975 O. and finished filming Pumping Iron.
Now it's 2007 and we have a new Mr. Olympia, who may not have Arnold's persona, but surely shall not be diminished in his accomplishments.
The sooner you Arnie cheerleaders accept it, the better for us, so we don't have to waste our time reading your nonsense Arnie love loyalty. :(

na u just said j embodied what a bodybuilder should be. hard working blah blah...like he is the mold of a mr o. He has the body for mr o but between dorian, coleman and now cutler, they look like bolders but have the personality of the same. Do you know how fun the bodybuilding industry would be if Priest or Chick were mr o or shit even king...guys with personalites is all im saying. I like jays effort with the hire of the publisist, and showing up all around the states, but face it if he is on the today show or live with regis and kelly, he would look like a big dumb bodybuilder. I know he isnt that, but thats the perception.

Actually, Jay this past Ironman was extremely talktative, more than I have seen him ever before. The man has confidence, spent a lot of time to meet people and fans, and enjoyed the weekend. He is representing the Mr. Olympia title quite well out there.

From all reports, it seems like being Mr O is agreeing with him.. I like to see how this signing is going to benefit the fans of PBW? It will be good to hear from Jay on a more frequent basis and it will no doubt sharpen his media skills too.

Yes, Ron I believe has stated here before that Dan was once a competitor, I believe Ron said it around the time of the show's start.

hahaha, everytime i see Repossessed (that comedy with Leslie Nelson). The part where he is training to take on the devil in the gym and the italian instructor comes out to teach i always think of you bob. That part should of went to you. Dan should of played the part of the gay bodybuilder though ;)

"Competing in 5 NPC events, how did you feel the experience was?
Competing was the best thing I ever did. I think everyone can learn a great deal about themselves by entering just one contest. So, before the start of every show we're going to hear Jay laconically drone; "if you use cell tech YOU will look like me". Great ::)
It would have been far better to have dug a little deeper into the pockets and actually got him a special slot, where he could give training and nutrition tips. Instead we get yet more ads that insult our intelligence.
