I've been a regular blood donor all my life, I've done it more than 100 times.  I have a not quite common blood group.

I'm getting old and last week I asked my doc (whilst getting the all-clear on my recent mammogram), is it okay for me to still carry around a donor card, would they laugh?  She laughed.
