He was very impressive at the Grand Prix events after the Olympia.
I think he will place very high.

No way, the judges don't seem to like quality physiques these days...

No chance in hell, BUT he looks better than 100 percent of IFBB professional bodybuilders :D
-
He got absolutely screwed at the olypia, so theres no chance in hell he will do any better at the arnold. Maybe if he grows a gut and starts sucking off the judges...
-
No way.... he wouldnt place that high at a bigger show.....

Ronnie Rockel is a much better bodybuilder than Phil Heath, but he'll get the usual shaft and be placed 5-6.
At best.
It's all bullshit, Rockel is one of the best, if not the best bodybuilder in the world today.
But Manion and his friends have decided that Rockel shouldn't be allowed to win anything.
Rockel will win downunder though. Doherty's got a better set of judges there.
Rockel has it all: Mass, condition, symmetry.

too bad your parents weren't. would have saved us all a lot of trouble.
Rockel looks great standing alone but gets drawfed when he stand next to the big guys.

the only reason he is "dwarfed" is because he isnt 9 months pregnant like most other people on stage.

hahaha. Yeah, if Ronny was 5'10 with the same physique he would do much better. But in truth, if Ronny was 5'10 he would not look the same. Just like how Lee would not look the same at 5'10 - and his arms wouldn't have the same freak factor at 5'10 either. In truth, what is an advantage for these shorter guys also holds them back, which makes perfect sense - why should they reap the benefits of being shorter without suffering the consequences?

Couldn't disagree more...
Rockel is is very good BB, by any standards. That being said, there are a lot of very good pro BBer's he competes against, most of them much bigger....which is often the deciding factor when judging. Much like when you watch the Nationals, and the middleweight looks outstanding...until he's placed next to the heavy/ superhvy winners...all of a sudden, he doesn't look nearly as impressive.
Bodybuilding has always been and always will be a big mans game....two equal competitors in structure, conditioning, shape, etc....the only difference being 50 lbs. of muscle...it's no contest. Granted, he should have placed hiher at the Olympia...said so myself in my post game report.
So let me get this straight...Manion and crew won't allow him to win anything...except the Aus Pro?? Like they have some vested interest in whether Ronnie Rockel wins or loses? LOL.....
Also, if you think he'll get "screwed" into 5-6th place...I cant wait to see what you'll say when he actually places 10-14th.

Rockel has probably one of the most desirable physiques in the sport, and it is true he was screwed at the Olympia. But the Arnold tends to give the little guys a chance (dexter) so who knows. He probably won't make top6 even though he should, because he's European and thats why he only places well in Austrailia and in Europe
