I was wondering what you guys think is better, barbell close grips or cambered bar close grips where you can get a closer grip but can't use as much weight?

Go with the one that you feel hits the tris better and/or is more comfortable, or alternate them once in a while if they're both good.

I use cambered, its easier on my girly wrists lol. But in all seriousness i do prefer cambered.

It's a personal decision, i don't think one is better than the other. Better is just a preference. Do them both if you can, they are both sweet!

If you can use an Olympic style Tricep bar, it will offer a better gripping advantage and less stress on the wrist. Allowing a more natural hammer grip for tricep action (thumbs facing the shouders). Would not see the advantage of a cambered bar for any close grip work, except for the better range/stretch at the bottom. Maybe your using a different version than the regular standard style. But whatever get's you there, I guess. Good Luck.

I'll test that theory next time I do my tris.

Do them with your hands shoulder width apart and tuck your elbows. bring the bar low just below the nipples. Doing these in a heavy fashion will really improve your bench numbers and your tricep mass.
