Very true, but McGrath and Heath are a couple of the newest pros who both have really good arms. That's why this thread is just about which of them has the better arms. And it's very close - Frank has the edge in forearms while Phil has better triceps. Biceps are pretty impressive for both of them. Which is why I started this thread, cause I wanted to see if we could settle on who's the best among the 2 in terms of arm development.

You're absolutely right. I thought Frank looked amazing from some of his older pics. I still think he looks awesome, but realise that he's far from complete. He needs to bring his back up heaps - he ought to be doing heavy deadlifts, bent over rows, T-bar rows, weighted chins etc (like Ronnie) and work on improving his overall thickness and density. His hamstrings need a lot of work too.

He has amazing potential and hopefully, he does fill out his frame and address his weak points within a year or two. I think he'd make for a great Mr Olympia if he does all that. Phil's more like Shawn Ray in that he looks very impressive and focused, but probably lacks the genetics to be the # 1 in the field, although given the current depth, it may not be such an impossible task :-\

Agree 100%. He shouldn't be fucking around with light training like Milos advocates. He needs to do heavy, high volume training with basic, compound free-weight exercises like Big Ron and stay focused. If he does that, he'll be hard to beat. Hell, if he filled out his frame the right way, Victor M wouldn't be able to hold his jockstrap.

Phil is a legit 5'9 or 5'10. Lift took a shot of us together at the expo. I think McGrath is around 5'11 to 6'0, but not too much taller. Phil is 220 and McGrath is 235. They both carry a similar amount of mass relative to their frame size.

Actually Heath's not dry ANYWHERE, he's got a watery bloated drug look that is one of his weak points.

i work out were frank use to train, and grew up. his forearms measured out at close to 19 inches in the gym. He doesnt train them anymore.

i work out were frank use to train, and grew up. his forearms measured out at close to 19 inches in the gym. He doesnt train them anymore.

In one of his Animal Pack vids he was doing forearm curls with a thick black bar, what is it called, and where do you get one?

I think he has the best arms ever - arms to him are what the back what to Dorian and Ronnie. Phil's arms have it all - size, shape, separation, striations, vascularity, thickness, fullness and roundness. Plus, he's a cool guy too.

I have to disagree, Phil's tris are very detailed. You can see the "feathering" striations in his tris.

Phil isn't perfect, but this one flaw isn't enough to take away from his strengths when he gets onstage. There's an excellent chance Phil will be the 2009 Mr. Olympia.

coleman had the nasty peak. phil has good overall size. are his arm bigger than ronnie's? or...put arms an inch smaller than ronnie on a guy phil's size. all this is worthless b/c ami makes the call for the 5-6yrs on this subject.
